I've just had a healthy and nourishing lunch of crisps and Stilton, with a light dessert of stollen bites and rose and violet cream chocolates. What bizarre combinations are you eating in this weird, drifting week?

The plan for tonight is to add a few more steamed leaves to the unfinished dish of greens and leeks, then dress it with finely chopped garlic, rosemary, olive oil and lemon juice. The left over new potatoes will be fried and have egg and ndjua added and then stirred till nice. Food of the Gods.

That’s cheating, that’s like a proper meal. (Sounds lovely)
ive been eating up the lovely Yule log Dd made. It was post dog walk brunch today. With a large chunk of cheese for starters.

Finally finished the Boxing Day buffet leftovers for lunch: once crispy (but not any more) mushrooms, not so freshly warmed bread & cold red cabbage with cheese & onion rolls.

Having a break now to work up an appetite for the end of the chocolate log.

Tomorrow I'm starting an offensive on the crackers & cheese, it may take several days...

I really, really fancied a fish finger sarnie this lunchtime.
But: I ate a fairly sensible sandwich with scraps of turkey and ham with some slightly wilted salad but for afters I had chocolate, biscuits, chocolate biscuits and a Lebkuchen.
And then I found the last chunk of stuffing so I ate that too.

breakfast was a handful of smoked nuts, pringles and some after eights. lunch was leftover sausage with more pringles a few paprika nuts and after eights! god i love after eights!

I'm feeling exceedingly smug, as, after days of eating nothing but bloody gammon in bread (a 5.5kg ham really is too big for 5 people...) I've actually just cooked something.

Pasta with spring onions and asparagus. And ham, obvs.

I do need something sweet to round it off, and having finished both the Quality Street and a packet of fruit pates last night, it may be time for some Stollen and a cup of tea.

Breakfast today was a tin of beans and sausages heated up in the microwave with a dessert spoon of Lurpak swirled through. And two pigs in blankets plonked on top.

AKA double sausage and beans with bacon and butter.

I am Rainbow and I am disgusting. 😂

Gammon and mature cheddar toasties with pickled onions and strong mustard here, and salad but left over from Boxing Day wraps salad so that's still OK. And some Celebrations, natch.

Last night's dinner was leftover roasties, Yorkshire pudding and stuffing balls all chopped up and warmed up with gravy on a bread roll with a dollop of cranberry sauce. It was absolutely amazing!

Washed down with a couple of glasses of champagne.

For breakfast I had Brie on toast followed by chocolate log and extra thick double cream.

I’ve got no Christmas food left now. Well apart from a pack of mince pies which none of us like.

Cranberry topped pork pie for breakfast today, so that's my gesture towards "five a day"!
Last night I had cubes of stuffing with some olives as an apero with a negroni or two.

more cheese here but luckily or not we have 3 boxes of biscuits for cheese! also, a huge Christmas cake has not yet been touched and 3 lots of shortbread so looks like our menu for the next few days is sorted.

Due to a catastrophic panettone over-order (somehow typed 10 into the online grocery order instead of 1!) I now exist solely on panettone. I've tried panettone bread and butter pudding, French toast with panettone etc...any other recipe suggestions gratefully received...

Had curry and rice at a house party last night but don't panic! Prior to that I've had cheese and Quorn bacon roll for most meals - initially with leftover roast potatoes. One leftovers repeat of Christmas dinner and truffles every hour or so.

Use panettone instead of sponge in trifle.
Toast it and eat with pâté, it will be similar to brioche.
Briefly fry slices in butter, then serve scattered with fruit and a spoon of mascarpone /cream etc for a quick pudding.

Leftover roast potatoes with Camembert and chopped pigs in blankets on top and and baked in oven. Dollop cranberry sauce on side and I nuked some glazed carrots to accompany. It was amazing.
