I've just had a healthy and nourishing lunch of crisps and Stilton, with a light dessert of stollen bites and rose and violet cream chocolates. What bizarre combinations are you eating in this weird, drifting week?

Breakfast has been a leftover Poppadom, half a terrys choc orange and a chaser of Camembert on top of Pringles- I know gourmet Grin. Think I'll fetch sushi for lunch though

Tricyrtis2022 · 29/12/2022 12:47

The plan for tonight is to add a few more steamed leaves to the unfinished dish of greens and leeks, then dress it with finely chopped garlic, rosemary, olive oil and lemon juice. The left over new potatoes will be fried and have egg and ndjua added and then stirred till nice. Food of the Gods.

MeinKraft · 29/12/2022 12:48

I had pizza for breakfast yesterday, a slice of turkey and ham pie and a bowl of roulade for lunch/dinner at 4pm and supper was cocktail sausages with pickled onions and cheese. This was all interspersed with Pringles and various kinds of chocolate.

FrownedUpon · 29/12/2022 12:50

I had sherry fruit salad for breakfast and pork pie, Stilton, crackers & rocket for lunch, followed by a large handful of after eight mints.

upinastar · 29/12/2022 12:50

I've survived on crackers and cheese with a side of biscuits and chocolates for the past week 😐

Skinnermarink · 29/12/2022 12:50

Leftover roast potatoes with Camembert and chopped pigs in blankets on top and and baked in oven. Dollop cranberry sauce on side and I nuked some glazed carrots to accompany. It was amazing.

Tiredo · 29/12/2022 12:51

Started off with toast.. I was proud of myself. Then, when returning the plate to the kitchen I grabbed

Pringles (Salt & vinegar, Tex BBQ & sour cream)
Roses
Quality street
Poached eggs on toast
Lemon drizzle cake

Eyeing up the Lindt 😉

That sounds suspiciously like real actual food. What you need with it is a pile of Twiglets and a couple of mince pies.

Cheese and crackers and Christmas cake is all I've eaten since my mums Xmas Dinner. I'm about 50% cheese as of today.

😂😂😂

I'm not sure you've got the spirit of this thread!

DeanVolecapeAKAelderberry · 29/12/2022 13:13

I did far too many crisps on St Stephen's Day and regretted it bitterly in the middle of the night, but am glad to report that Rennies with a bb date in 2004 still work, even if they're a bit dry and crumbly.

I've nearly finished the fudge I bought for Christmas 2021.

MyMachineAndMe · 29/12/2022 13:15

I had 400+g of dairy milk chocolate last night, washed down with a bucket of tea and then a double fried egg butty.

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 29/12/2022 13:20

Ooh, a double fried egg butty would go down very nicely just about now (on top of the mushroom sausage rolls, sauerkraut, pringles and mince pie I just had for lunch).

CyanCrystalViolet · 29/12/2022 13:25

I’m forcing my way through the two Christmas baklava selections I bought in a supermarket clearance yesterday, not realising ‘Christmas’ meant bastardised with mincemeat and completely horrible.

SqueakyDinosaur · 29/12/2022 13:30

We salute your sacrifice, @CyanCrystalViolet

It's good left-overs food, that's for sure.

Just had toast with very ripe Brie and some pickled onions on the side. Evil but delicious.

Itstoocoldoutthere · 29/12/2022 13:34

Brie cheese and Christmas cake - not a bad combination. Will probably move on to the twiglets and fudge later.

TragicMuse · 29/12/2022 13:34

Pork pie for breakfast!

Apart from that I am largely a cheese-based life form at the moment.

ApplePippa · 29/12/2022 13:35

Panettone and satsumas for breakfast this morning. I rather enjoyed that.

This evening I'm planning on putting out a random selection of leftovers and letting everyone help themselves. So ham, crisps, cheese, crackers, various nut assortments, pickled onions and coleslaw.

Tomorrow I might have to actually cook something.

UnfortunatePoster · 29/12/2022 13:41

Lunch today was a toasted bagel with turkey, stuffing and a pig in blanket, accompanied by a sausage roll, and followed by a mincemeat whirl and a couple of celebrations.

user1487194234 · 29/12/2022 13:42

Mainly truffles

SavouryFlavour · 29/12/2022 13:45

Leftover roast beef with leftover cheese in the sandwich toaster. Apparently I accidentally made a Philly steak toastie.

Which was nice.

(Did anyone else see The Fast Show Christmas special? The nostalgia... scorchio!)

kimchifix · 29/12/2022 13:46

Salted peanuts for breakfast with a black coffee haven't had lunch yet. Still full of the Japanese meal we had (out) last night followed by Lindt chocolates and cheese and crackers (in that order) 😳

disneydreaming101 · 29/12/2022 13:46

The last week of lunch's has been biscuits, cheese and crisps.

Dinner has been whatever picky food we have e.g last night was stuffing, some samosas and a Katsu curry ready meal that needed eating!
