Anyone else have a totally irrational dislike of something?

There is a set of traffic lights/junction near me which I absolutely hate. Nothing bad has ever happened to me there, but i have a loathing for it that I cant explain or understand. Its not a difficult junction either.

I actively go out of my way to avoid it.

Taylor Swift gives me the rage. I have an irresistible urge to kick her. There’s nothing remotely rock star about her. She is like a dumb cheerleader who accidentally stumbled on stage instead of the football pitch

When younger I hated the feel of wet tea leaves. Absolutely gives me the heebie jeebies. Thank goodness for tea bags.
Also the sound of nails on a blackboard or running fingers along the teeth of a comb.

You’d get on with my husband, he hates these. I must admit I think grown men out in public in what my mum would call a jogging suit do just look like overgrown toddlers

Hate the smell of any Subway the fast food one. Don't know why but I can't relish eating anything from one. The 1st one I came across was in America. Totally irrational but there is one in a local Eurospar and the smell just puts me off. Not a bad smell but off-putting for me. No rhyme or reason for it.

I also hate grey jogging bottoms. So much so that when my then one year old was given a 2 pack of jogging bottoms-one grey and one navy-I never put him in the grey ones, I just couldn't bring myself to start him down the road of grey jogging bottoms acceptance 🤦🏼‍♀️

I will add wobbly teeth. I've worked with kids or families all my career and can do snot, blood, vomit etc but wobbly teeth make me come over all peculiar. My children are very well trained in this regard and know not to show me any. They must only come to me with the wobbly tooth once it is actually removed from their head. Then it is fine and actually rather fascinating, but wiggling around in their gums nooooooo thank you 🤢

@MrsClatterbuck my MIL and colleague both can't stomach the smell from Subway and subsequently cannot eat their sandwiches etc maybe it's a phenomenon rather than an irrational dislike? They both say the smell is quite sickly and overpowering.

Yellow. Yes all shades of yellow apart from lemon 🍋 , from clothes to paint to deco it just isn’t pleasing to my eyes and they say it’s a colour that is happy but i can literally feel my mood going down if it’s in my line of sight. Hate sitting in a yellow shaded room.

Full grown adults having a hairstyle that includes two 'parts' - two pigtails, two plaits, two buns. Anyone over the age of 12 should not be allowed to style their hair in twos!

Belly buttons. Even typing that makes me uncomfortable.

Eyebrow threading - tried it twice and when the thread touched the top of my ear I inwardly panicked. Think it’s the contortions one has to adopt and then the fear that the thread is cheese wire and I might get garrotted.

Cold edamame beans. Seem to haunt all salads. Bleurgh! I like the hot salty ones in the pod that you get at Japanese restaurants though!

Neither of these things affect my life in any way whatsoever but when I see them, I want to scream!

Tomatoes, I absolutely hate everything about them. The texture, the way they pop and then they're all squishy and gooey on the inside but firm on the outside. There's just so much wrong with them. Lol, rant over.

Nail art/ overly ornate manicures. Christmas themed nails. Women giving over an hour of their lives (I'm guessing) for someone to doodle snowmen, santa hats and holly on their nails. Enraging and confusing.

The co-op robots that deliver food. Completely freak me out... and l have absolutely no idea why!
