Stupidly difficult work quiz

The stupidly difficult work quiz is back for those of you that remember (@rosegoldwatcher).

Basically there are a series of very hard puzzles to solve - each puzzle solve gives you a password to move onto the next stage.

I've already managed to solve stage one myself (go me!) but I've ground to a halt as usual on the second stage (which consists of 8 individual puzzles to solve).

Here's a couple of puzzles i'm stuck on - any help much appreciated!

I think they could be radio stations but not all US ones. Not got very far but taking eth first letter of each word and ignoring 'the', the following are all world radio stations:
WFM, LUFT, RMK, MIG, HCB, GL, EDS, RTP

Using a substitution cipher there's a solution will several identifiable words.

1st letter of the 1st answer, 2nd of the 2nd and so on.
2nd line, start again

I've only worked out the first bit (supposed to be working) but so far it reads

"WHATGAMEIS"

Oh, also, second answer should be Championship Manager, and 8 is Secret of Monkey Island

Take the first letter of the left hand column, second of the next, third of the next, etc, then do the same on the following lines.

The answers may not all be correct, as it currently says

My husband said that Number 2 is Championship manager - so that should fit!

The title of the puzzle is 'Location, Location, Location'
