My thermostat showing 13.5 and I'm freezing 🥶

What is your house temperature?

19.5° no heating so far this year

Abraxan · 26/11/2022 19:31

20c currently. The heating is on and by the time I get home is should be up to 21.

YeahThanks · 26/11/2022 19:31

21, I’m wearing layers, including a cashmere cardigan and socks and I’m a bit chilly. I’d really struggle with 13. Can you put the heating on?

HadEnoughOfBears · 26/11/2022 19:32

17.8

tealandteal · 26/11/2022 19:35

Showing 17.5, warm enough in a jumper and a blanket over my legs. The heating would come on at 15 but it only dips below at night at the moment.

fortyfatandsingle · 26/11/2022 19:39

Thermostat set at 14 incase of a real cold snap but it's not been that low. Currently about 17 and it's fine. I last had it on on Monday for an hour as it was damp outside and just felt really chilly all day.

My other half not very enthusiastic about turning heating on yet, so currently have vest top, extra thermal long sleeved vest, hoodie, oodie and thermal leggings on and sat under a blanket, trying to keep my tongue between my teeth 😉

17.5. No heating at the moment and I find this temperature fairly comfortable. But all people are different, a friend of mine need it at least 20C due to health condition

Joyfuljolly · 26/11/2022 19:43

oh how sad..

Nectarpeach · 26/11/2022 19:44

16.8°c and I'm melting, just opened a window

Ilikewinter · 26/11/2022 19:44

18.5.
13.5 is ridiculous, put the heating on.

MinnesotaMuffin · 26/11/2022 19:55

19.0

If you can, I really think at 13.5 the heating needs to be on.

Ilovetocrochet · 26/11/2022 19:57

Thermostat set at 19° and it’s been coming on so house temp must be below 19°. I got a bit chilly sitting on the sofa this afternoon so put a blanket over my legs. I am now in bed to warm up and avoid knocking the thermostat up to 21° for the rest of the evening. I live near Manchester.

OddBoots · 26/11/2022 19:57

We usually keep it at 16 during the day (12 overnight, not that it tends to drop to that) but we put it up to 18 today as the in-laws were over so it feels very warm to me.

BeyondThinkOfTheOptics · 26/11/2022 19:58

Right now it's 18.4'c and the heating went off two hours ago. I'm bloody boiling 🥵

Nevermindthesquirrels · 26/11/2022 19:59

I hope you're lying and it's not 13.5C. That's really not a safe temperature and the lower you let it get the more heating you'll require to warm if up. It's best to do it little and often.

purpleme12 · 26/11/2022 20:01

Yes mine is 13 degrees here too

Elemenohpe · 26/11/2022 20:04

Ours is set to 16.5, sometimes I boost it for an hour but don't generally need to. We all like the cold in our house!

GreenLunchBox · 26/11/2022 20:05

What's a safe temp to sleep in? Anybody know?
