Evri - delayed parcel. Am I going to receive it??

Ordered a parcel 8 days ago. Evri were meant to deliver it on Friday but they updated the tracking to say the delivery had been delayed and they would try to deliver it the next working day. Today is the next working day and the parcel isn’t out for delivery. Has this happened to anyone else? Did you receive your parcel? I’m worrying they’ve lost it :(

Anyone know how to get a claim form from Evri? They lost my parcel

TheTeddyBears · 30/11/2022 18:47

Mine is same was supposed to be delivered by evri on Wednesday then a message it's been delayed then it's out for delivery then again delayed not updated since Friday and now back to saying we got your parcel 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was for my daughter's bday this week which has now been and gone. Smyths were really gd and have sent another with next day courier with pdp but I've looked at tracking and that's saying also delayed 1 day. Feel like it's never going to turn up!

To be fair I've ordered so much stuff and evri have delivered a lot of it fairly quickly. My local delivery guy is great, had same guy for years.

Fleur405 · 30/11/2022 19:17

The app still says my parcel is being delivered by 9pm on Tuesday….

CaptaNoctem · 30/11/2022 19:20

I wouldn't count on it.

It's happened to me a number of times with Evri. The updates stay unupdated and eventually they confirm it as lost

It's always Evri too.

DeliberatelyObtuse · 30/11/2022 19:22

Wouldn't be surprised if your parcel turns up after you get your refund

That usually happens with me Hmm

How the government could do something to understand many people's lives. Make it the law that you should know the parcel carrier before you pay for anything online. Hermes/Evri would soon be out of business or have to up their game.

The thing is, customers generally don't want to pay for delivery.

I can send on a next day with Evri for £3.92 - which up until recently I rarely had an issue with; the same next day service with DHL is £7.40 😵

I offer different couriers at the checkout - every.single.customer chooses Evri, because they're far cheaper!

RainBow725 · 30/11/2022 19:36

Yep - they are terrible. They have told me on three separate days that they were going to deliver - each two days apart. Still no parcel. I've gone back to the seller who have now said they need another 72 hours! Ridiculous.

Eastereggs1 · 30/11/2022 19:37

I’m having the same problem 😥 I suspect it’s a mixture of being overloaded with Black Friday parcels and Royal Mail strikes, but it would be nice to have an update!

This is it - it would be nice if they just stopped lying.

Most people would be understanding if they put 'due to unprecedented demand and ongoing strikes blah blah blah' but nobody is buying the road incidents all over the country - or them suddenly being unable to locate your house they've been delivering to for a decade Hmm

Apparently they can't find my house to deliver my Bouxavenue parcel so it's still stuck in the depot a week later - which is weird because they found my house fine today with my PLT parcel 🤷🏻‍♀️

YellowRosesintheGarden · 30/11/2022 21:56

Thank you, I saw you had posted the email earlier and emailed yesterday! No reply as of yet, no update about the delay, no parcels. Bloody Evri.

RestingMurderousFace · 30/11/2022 22:03

Evri, shit. Parcels nearly always ‘delayed’.
Royal Mail, shit. Medications were sent tracked 24, took 10 fucking days.
DHL, shit. Never deliver on time. Don’t even bother trying to get a collection.
DPD, great! For now, anyway.

Ellessdee · 30/11/2022 22:06

I don't shop anywhere that uses EVRI. Used to be a nightmare. Now just point blank refuse to give anyone who uses them my business.

Well this is concerning. Like I said, I normally send via Evri but a customers parcel has been stuck with them all week due to a 'road incident' (🙄) so I've made up another one for her tonight and booked a collection with DHL tomorrow; cost me nearly a tenner (normally £3.90 with Evri!) but it has to be with her this weekend so I had no choice.

If I've just paid a tenner and it doesn't get delivered I'll be livid 🙈

Thanks to the poster who said email the CEO. Did that on Wednesday night and just had a call saying that my parcel that had been missing since 2 Nov was now located!!!!

FT123456 · 02/12/2022 16:03

I had a parcel with them before that was delayed days after days ... I never received it. But if it's just delayed for one day I would say you should still receive.

ExcuseeeeMe · 02/12/2022 19:10

Has anyone got the delayed message from Evri and actually received their parcel

mrsmmajeika · 02/12/2022 19:22

I was a due a parcel delivery 2 weeks ago.
I got a message from Evri saying basically "due to the size of the parcel it needs a specialist courier, we are sorting it"...

So I waited over a week. Nothing. Spoke to the store who had sent the parcel and they chased it with Evri.

Surprise surprise parcel delivered the following day by our regular Evri delivery lady in her regular sized car. She said sorry it's late, but I have a choice of either putting 40 parcels in my car or this one (it wasn't even that big, could have fit on her passenger seat!!) , so my guess is they get paid by the number of drops they do?

But it was all ok though, because she had seen who the parcel was sent from, assumed it was for Christmas for a child so decided to leave it until later.... Hmm

So they lied on the update (no 'specialist courier' was required) and the only reason it got delivered now was because I complained to the sender...

There are no words for that company.

I would have said the same about DPD until this week, when I've been having an absolute farce with them 😩

"We'll deliver on Thursday." Great! I'm in all day!
"Oh no! Sorry we missed you." ??? I was sitting mere feet from the door ????
"We attempted to deliver in [town about 15 miles away] but you weren't in." No, I wasn't, cos I don't live there.
"We tried to drop it off at the Co-Op but it's not suitable." ??? I never asked for this ????
"We will try again tomorrow." Fine.
TOMORROW: Crickets

And I tried every conceivable means of contacting them AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. Their online chat all but tells you to F off, phoning keeps you on hold forever, and their WhatsApp chat "service" ignored me until the next day, when it unceremoniously ended the "chat" and asked for my feedback before randomly telling me my parcel is on its way back to the retailer 😡

To the poster above, yes, I did eventually get my mysteriously delayed Evri parcels, so there is hope.

AllotPlot · 03/12/2022 02:42

I will never buy anything again from a company who use Evri as their courier.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 03/12/2022 03:54

Always received my delayed Evri parcels within a couple of days.

It's UPS who are pissing me off currently. I ordered 2 large playmobil orders almost 2wks ago. Their tracking keeps saying there's an issue to resolve with the sender - then updates to solved, out for delivery - then never gets delivered. One of the 2 was out for delivery 2 days ago and now says to be delivered on the 10th 🤬🤬.

They've delivered to the wrong address a couple of times before and the twats who live at that address take the parcels in and don't return them. UPS seem to be the only courier who can't find my address.

Are you in the north east by any chance?

RedWingBoots · 03/12/2022 04:02

I've worked out where all my local parcel stores e.g. news agents are and try to get Evri, DHL etc to deliver to them. Only DPD and Dx seem able to consistently find my home probably thanks to my neighbour who has to order parts regularly

Have you tried using What Three Words on your delivery instructions?

User4532456734 · 03/12/2022 09:39

@cucumberegg

No, South East...
