Do you wear knickers under pyjamas

And why?
spent the night away with some friends and noticed that they did. I understand if you wear knickers instead of pyjamas although I tend to go alfresco.
so unless you’re wearing a pad maybe, why would you?

@dontcallmethatyoucunt everyone's fanny is different. I get bv very easily and wearing knickers to bed is one of the triggers. I have to wear clean bottoms as I would stink otherwise.

WonderingWanda · 13/11/2022 14:03

I feel naked without knickers on and can't sleep. I also can't sleep if I haven't cleaned ny teeth and had two wee's and the room needs to be dark.

NC12345665 · 13/11/2022 14:06

Do you wash your PJ's after one wear then? Seems wasteful.

SkeetyLola · 13/11/2022 14:06

No not usually. Honestly I’m really surprised at the amount saying they do. To me it’s like socks in bed - I need to get clingy things off my skin at night

I guess if you shower and put on clean underwear and pj's it's ok but personally I wouldnt want to go to bed in knickers I'd worn all day. Like I said personal choice

It all sounds very high maintenance wearing pyjamas, I don't even own a pair. Wearing knickers you've worn all day to bed doesn't sound great I agree.

Yes - maybe it was a male friend? If so, do men worry about airing their tackle?

I don't know what the man rules are but there must be some. Grin

catfunk · 13/11/2022 14:09

No, I can't sleep whilst wearing anything tight.
I wear quite baggy harem style bottoms so they don't touch my crotch or need washing every wear like knickers would (I tend to wear them 2 nights or so)

Redup · 13/11/2022 14:12

I don't wear pyjamas. I would feel restricted and I certainly couldn't double up on the pants experience. Much healthier I imagine to free the vulva. I wear nightshirts.

CambsAlways · 13/11/2022 14:15

Yep I do

Wherediditallgo · 13/11/2022 14:15

Yes, because I’m a minger who only washes PJs once a week. 😁
We don’t heat our bedroom so PJs help keep me warm.
Clean pants every morning.

CherryLongIsland · 13/11/2022 14:17

I do when staying away with friends incase they post about me online.
I'd rather be judged for wearing pants and pj's than for not wearing them.
Really though I hate wearing pants or nightwear in bed it's so uncomfortable.

musicviking1 · 13/11/2022 14:20

Depends on the Pjs and depends on the knickers.

MrsJephson · 13/11/2022 14:25

When I'm wearing chuck in the wash cotton ones, no. Silk dry clean only pj's - definitely yes.

Yes, I do wear them but they are loose fitting cotton mens style pyjamas and no underwear

An under wired one? 😳 Not to sleep surely?

No, not anderwired one. I just don't like my boobs knocking together when I turn over.

Was always told by my nan and my mum it's unhygienic and air needs to circulate

What about during the day when you would wear pants and trousers? How does the air circulate then? Or does this only matter if you are in bed?

I'm wearing a skirt and stockings today and knickers for that reason

I do tend to suffer from thrush at times

Laneyy · 13/11/2022 17:10

Yes I don't like fanny juices on my pj pants I can wear them again the following day less washing just knickers Vs full pj bottoms.

Laneyy · 13/11/2022 17:11

I also wear a bra and socks in bed I like to be held in. I suspect it's a sensory thing.

Crazykatie · 13/11/2022 17:16

No we sleep naked, the freedom under the duvet suits us nicely, nobody else in the house so we can go au naturel no problem.

Why would anyone wear dry clean only silk pjs? I don't buy a blouse that needs dry cleaning only, because of the chemicals (and hassle), but pjs? Deary me.

I like fresh & clean next to me nightly. Used to wear my nightwear one night then put in linen basket but now doing two nights to try and save energy/the planet.

CoffeandTiaMaria · 13/11/2022 18:13

Nope, never even passed my mind to do so to be honest 😊
I change my pyjamas every 3 or 4 nights, always bathe or shower before bed.

socialgoat · 13/11/2022 12:33

Always wear pants and pjs. Gross not to unless you're washing your pjs every night in which case that's excessive use of water and energy!

I've always worn pants and incidentally never had thrush or gynae problems as some people suggest is the cause!

This! Always wear pants and change pjs once a week. I would feel very uncomfortable without pants!

LydiaBennetsUglyBonnet · 13/11/2022 18:18

Because I toss and turn a lot and hate the seam going up my arse crack

LydiaBennetsUglyBonnet · 13/11/2022 18:19

Also it’s a bit gross unless you’re changing your PJs every day which IMO is a waste
