Quoting myself here to clarify that these words got dropped from my post:

In line with @ReleaseTheDucksOfWar, it is not for NATO or anyone to infantilise Ukraine and deny them the opportunity to inspect and right of reply. Have an independent body go along with them to stop any accusations of planting evidence but I don't see why Ukraine shouldn't be allowed to go into Poland.

@ReleaseTheDucksOfWar the “hand that feeds” comment was no more than an analogy to illustrate the risk of upsetting the West. I just suspect that should this become an issue, and it seems it could go that way if Ukraine are denied access, then this would likely cause a problem. Ukraine have already been bound to stick to certain conditions in order to get some of the kit they have. I am thinking out loud, that’s all.

In other news, Germany has apparently authorised the transfer of mil equipment though I havent seen it confirmed from the usual sources yet.

How is it a 'strawman' argument. It is disingenuous to say that yesterday evening this was not what many were thinking, of course these thoughts, very much helped by the war hungry press, they were having a field day, whipping up the hysteria that got picked up on by the self-obsessed Mumsnetters! I have been on the 'other' thread, if it wasn't about the implications of this astray missile, what was it about?

If you were really concerned Greenshake I would have appreciated a PM rather than an open question.

That was related to your previous comment to ReleaseTheDucksWar asking if she was all right .. and saying her comments seemed to show she was upset by the events of yesterday ….etc

I too had a feeling this was simply your way of shutting down her responses to people who were criticising Zelensky, rather than concern for her. I definitely felt uneasy about what you said, even though it appears to be kind.

So though my interpretation may be off too, I do understand why Blueshoes felt she had to say something.

In fairness to @Greenshake I read it as kind and checking in with someone who's contributions to this thread are really valued and who seemed a bit upset. It's been a tough 24 hours, personally I hope that everyone is doing OK.

Perhaps we all need a cup of tea!

Thank you. Nobody seemed to have a problem jumping on me a few threads ago over the Crimea issue. More to the point, there seems to be an emerging split on these posts to those that are responding emotionally and those that are taking a different practical view. I didn’t realise that asking if someone was ok would be interpreted as an attempt to shut someone down, which is quite ridiculous.

It's gone a bit Pete Tong on both threads this afternoon I feel. Tensions are running high but I can’t help but feel that this is what Russia want. They want us all divided and arguing among ourselves.

Also I'm sorry if my posts seemed like I was against Zelenskey or had an agenda. I really don't but like most people this last 24 hours have really got to me and the thought of this war escalating further is just too much to bare for me at the moment.
