Tonight is tuna pasta as it's the last day till pay day so I'm following for ideas. :)

wibblewobbleball · 07/11/2022 13:00

We are waiting for a baby who should come this week as I'll likely be taken in to be induced Smile and I'm knackered so I have just filled my basket at Aldi with some of their specially selected stuff which feels like a treat as I usually cook from scratch! I got sourdough wild garlic chicken kievs, sourdough pizza (veggie one and pork one), cheese stuffed chicken wrapped in Parma ham, a Rogan Josh curry sauce that I'll do with chicken and veg, and some very fancy looking tortellini. Quite excited about some oven dinners to be honest!

CointreauVersial · 07/11/2022 13:02

M: Burgers and salad
T: Tarragon, Tomato & Creme Fraiche Chicken, with pasta
W: Something pre-prepared/frozen, as I'm not home til 7.15pm
T: Pan-fried Salmon, noodles & veggies

I'm away for the weekend after that, so DH can sort himself out for Fri/Sat. He will probably end up with a fishfinger wrap, and a tuna/cheese jacket spud. Or a takeaway. 🙄

CointreauVersial · 07/11/2022 13:05

Ooh, @wibblewobbleball , good luck! Coincidentally, my PFB arrived this week (23 years ago) and I made a very unwise choice of final dinner, as I brought it all back up again while in labour a few hours later. Never much liked Moroccan Chicken since that day.....

murasaki · 07/11/2022 13:09

Good luck @wibblewobbleball

SirenSays · 07/11/2022 13:23

M - Noodles in black bean sauce
T - Homemade pizzas and salad
W- I'm out all day so will want something quick like Kimchi fried rice with lots of veggies and an egg.
T- Spicy cod fillets and rice
F - having friends over so will make Korean fried chicken with fried seaweed rolls
S - Saturday soup with dumplings
S - beef bourguignon to finish the wine I have left

SmokedHaddockChowder · 07/11/2022 13:25

Ooh this is giving me some good new ideas. We've been in a rut lately. Our chickpea and spinach curry is one I've not cooked in at least 10 years.
All the best @wibblewobbleball!

T -sausage casserole with baked potatoes
W - beef tacos with rice
T - peanut chicken with rice
F - spaghetti Bol.

Every week I cook once and make at least 12 portions. There are 3 of us and we eat that meal twice in the week and the rest is frozen for meals in later weeks.

It means in the weekdays we will eat 4 different meals, with one being eaten twice. Each morning that a frozen meal is needed, nits taken out to defrost and in Eve, goes in oven and just potatoes or rice or pasta is cooked.

Weekend, we tend to eat out once (usually at friends or family but sometimes in restaurant) and other day to have some thing like frozen pizza.
