Delphi murders - suspect finally in custody

Just thought you should know that they finally have someone in custody for the murder of the two little girls in Dephi, Indiana.

Omg ! I have followed this for so long. The ‘down the hill’ audio is so horrid and creepy. And they said for so long Liberty’s family had something to do with it, I felt terrible for them. Apparently she fought back really hard 😞 I hope they get brought to justice soon

It's been all over the local news here (across the border in a neighboring state). It's a ghastly case.

I really hope they have the right person.

The name of the suspect hasn't been released here.

I actually first came across the case on here. I had Covid in March 2020 and fell down a rabbit hole of unexplained cases when I couldn't sleep. The Delphi case haunted me so much that for a long time I couldn't read anything about it as it gave me nightmares.

I honestly feel quite emotional that a suspect has been named.

There's a photo on his wife's Facebook of their teen daughter sat on monon high bridge where the girls were last seen....a month after the murders

Oh I hope they get somebody convicted. I saw it on a documentary ages ago. Always thought it was heartbreaking that one of the girls in their last moments had the strength and presence of mind to capture a video of the man who did this to them and it still didn’t help them make an arrest. Hopefully now they have got the correct person.

I won’t post the photo of the alleged wife’s Facebook photo attached to the post in case it’s false but this keeps cropping up on FB.

I am in NE Illinois. American news outlets hadn't published the name as of evening news broadcast time (5 o'clock- 6 CST).

I don't know what time that was in the UK but the name was all over the internet here around 9pm yesterday, about 7 hours ago

The initial photos suggest they have the right man, it will be very interesting to find out how he avoided being any kind of person of intrest before now

I'd be shutting down my page not just deleting posts of it was me. I don't want the Daily Mail putting hideous shots up of me if I'm ever involved in some terrible event.
I don't think it's suspicious of his wife.
Amazing if they've caught him I genuinely thought this was cold and wouldn't be solved.

Lives a mile from murder scene, few houses down to Libby's family and works in local pharmacy in Delphi!

They have the guy behind the catfish 'Anthony_shots' account in custody on other charges

His catfish account showed messages between him and Libby. This has been in public domain for a while

In that case how the hell has he not been a suspect before now?

The sheriff did say early on it's likely to be someone 'in plain sight'

He had no previous. Nothing. He took the cvs pharmacy job a year after the murders, and to have that position you need to have no convictions

To go from zero, to one of the biggest crimes in the US and then to have done nothing since (we know of) seems a bit unlikely to me. Maybe he didn't act alone.

Really glad to hear someone has been arrested!

What I couldn’t understand about this case was

a) The poor girl FILMED the man, they had actual clear footage of him, way more than most cases.

b) I’m sure I read they suspected it was probably someone local and ‘hiding in plain sight’. A quick google says the population of Delphi is less than 3000 (?) so pretty tiny. Narrow that down to just the adult male population and it’s even smaller.

So a tiny little community where everyone must know each other and filmed footage of the man walking and talking, how on earth did it turn cold??
