First time he’s ever pulled out.

HundredMilesAnHour · 23/10/2022 21:15

So the new PM is Rishi.

TicketToRideFan · 23/10/2022 21:15

Alleluia! I am not Tory, and don’t want to ease their re-election chances, but it was not in the national interest to Bring Back Boris.

Yiayoula · 23/10/2022 21:15

Phew !
If he is still anywhere near the edge , I’d be up for pushing him over it …..

QuebecBagnet · 23/10/2022 21:16

Thank God.

Lykia · 23/10/2022 21:16

Phew.

Energeticenoch · 23/10/2022 21:17

i Am honestly beside myself with excitement, I am not a Tory voter but he’s a smart credible candidate and to have a pm from a non white background, about time too

mtld · 23/10/2022 21:17

Does this mean no more Borisposter? ☹️

🤣🤣🤣👌

BuffaloCauliflower · 23/10/2022 21:17

Thank God for that

uncomfortablydumb53 · 23/10/2022 21:17

Common sense has prevailed for once

SirChenjins · 23/10/2022 21:18

Thank the gods for that. Hopefully they’ll be out at the next GE anyway, but the very last thing we need as we wait for the back of them is that odious cretin back in No 10. 102 nominations my arse.

Lykia · 23/10/2022 21:19

Posted too soon. He can go back to the Dominican Republic and finish his holiday now and don't come back ever.

MissWired · 23/10/2022 21:20

So instead, we'll have a multi-millionaire with a tax dodging wife, who brags about diverting funds meant for poorer communities towards wealthier ones.

What could possibly go wrong?

😂😂😂

Rowthe · 23/10/2022 21:20

First bit of good news in a while.

I really cant believe he thought he could be PM again.

Chateaudiaries · 23/10/2022 21:21

Great news. Bye then Johnson you lazy lying ego maniac. And all your weirdo cheerleaders with you!

LikeTearsInRain · 23/10/2022 21:21

Finally he’s learnt you can pull out?

user1471453601 · 23/10/2022 21:21

Thank goodness. I know this means Sunak will be PM tomorrow, and I'd love love.love to have a general election, but Sunak is the least worst option if an election isn't possible at the moment.

notdaddycool · 23/10/2022 21:21

I guess if Rishi is the only one nominated he could become our first non white PM on Diwali, which would be a lovely touch. Might even get the rangoli out on Downing Street again.

He didn't, he was talking about redirecting funds into poorer rural communities.

Yee-hah
I'm no tory but Rishi seems the best of a bad bunch and seems to understand the economy slightly more

upinaballoon · 23/10/2022 21:22

This evening, maybe on Andrew Neill's programme, I have heard someone suggest that NOW was just a bit too soon for the BJ comeback, so rule it out now but don't completely rule it out of a possibility in the future.

😑

Pandor · 23/10/2022 21:24

102 supporters. The fucking contempt shown by such an obvious face saving lie, you just know how the conversation with his adviser went:

Boris: it needs to be more than a hundred

Adviser: 101?

Boris: no one will buy that you fucking whiff waff!

Adviser: 102

Boris: Nailed it! Send the Tweet.

I was sort of thinking that and trying not to. For the moment lets just be glad he hasn't got what he wanted.

I'm not that keen on Sunak but given the choice I would have had him rather than Truss and definitely rather have him than Johnson.

Why is Johnson having all these holidays when he should be doing his job, being an MP.
