They won't though.

Rhondaa · 22/10/2022 16:20

'Oh. Is there a reason your return to the thread is correlated with Johnsons potential return to parliament?'

Well, the clue is in the title. Big Dog returns. I haven't seen any previous threads called this as it hasn't infact happened before, that is why I'm chipping in. I hope that clarifies things.

'While your on the subject of cake any chance you could explain to us why you think it was acceptable for a 56 year old man to have a birthday party whilst simaltaneously forbidding millions of children from doing the same?'

Hang on hang on, I know the answer! is it because he is a burglar?

mibbelucieachwell · 22/10/2022 16:24

Thinking aloud - Could Doris purely be intending to stir up (more) trouble by seeing how many nominations he gets?
Would he take a cabinet position if he got to the final 2 and was outvoted on the mp's indicative vote? It seems unlikely but the idea of him standing also seemed unlikely. He wouldn't cut short his holiday though presumably.

AdamRyan · 22/10/2022 16:32

If he gets into the final 2 the loony members will pick him
I hope the 50 odd cabinet MPs who resigned when he was PMcontinue to have the courage of their convictions and resign the whip and call for a VONC

@Janiie you are very wise, I am sure many people would agree with you that Johnson stole a lot during his time as Prime Minister.

The UK's repuatation.
Taxpayers money to give to his mates.
Trust and decency in polities.

To name a few.

But how does that make it acceptable for him to have an illegal party? I don't recall the law stating that thiefs were exempt from the legislation?

Dorries tweeting that the boss is back. She also claims he stood up for Ukraine when no one else would. Hmm, not the US then? Not pretty much the rest of the world? And delivered the first vaccine. What would Kate Bingham say about that?

I thought other countries had delivered the vaccine before we started? IIRC it was Isreal who were over 50% into their programme before any other country started?

Rhondaa · 22/10/2022 16:50

'you are very wise'

Thankyou, this is very true.

He 'stole the The UK's repuatation'? Confused. I think you need a lie down in a darkened room with some lavender to sniff.

He got us through the pandemic and was ousted by the hysterical media who weirdly influenced some MPs.

Anyway, we can only wait and see the outcome. Deep breaths everyone, deep breaths.

Cornettoninja · 22/10/2022 16:55

media who weirdly influenced some MPs

It is weird, usually they’re influencing the public or being outright ‘told’ by politicians to pull reports.

It’s almost like public opinion does actually count.

It is lovely to see that satire is alive and well.

Boris certainly got us through the pandemic, just look at the excess deaths, 2nd only to the US in high income countries, (just don't mention another island nation where deaths fell during that time).

All is well with the world.

Keir had a beer
Boris was hard done by
But Jeremy Corbyn
Who knows what a woman is.

Orangesandlemons77 · 22/10/2022 17:37

Ok, so after reporting Boris had 100 backers, BBC now seem to be saying this might be made up.....?

countrygirl99 · 22/10/2022 17:38

If they are still on about the beer it just shows there is nothing else to pick up on.

Add Big Dog is a burglar and he stole the Uks repuatation to your list of sayings for completeness.

Have we had Nads is an alky and wants to give him a BJ?

Roussette · 22/10/2022 17:41

Just for Janiie who thinks that the country going down the pan is a huge joke

They’re desperate.

Who is? I've said a couple of times I think Sunak will swing it I just find all the hysteria about Big Dog returning strangely amusing. He did do a good job, most folk can see beyond the media smears. Not some of the weasly backbenchers granted.

DuncinToffee · 22/10/2022 17:44

You are avoiding to answer the question Janiie, why is that?

Rhondaa · 22/10/2022 17:46

'Just for Janiie who thinks that the country going down the pan is a huge joke'

You need to read my posts. No, I don't think the country allegedly going down the pan is a huge joke. He shouldn't ever have been ousted.

@Janiie While you are here any chance of an answer to why it was acceptable for a 56 year old to make laws that banned parties only to then attend parties?

Are you still defending the appointment of the known sex pest Pincher

Blossomtoes · 22/10/2022 17:47

He did do a good job, most folk can see beyond the media smears.

Is that why he had the lowest popularity rating for a PM in history? At least until Truss came along, that is.

So you do still think that is was acceptable to promote a known sex pest to a post that involved looking after MPs welfare and when the sex pest was a sex pest, it was fine to pretend as though nothing had happened?

Come on now...you're sounding as desperate for him as Dorries. Sad that that is all the Conservative party can offer. A has been.
No fresh talent. No new Leader to get the country off of its knees. Just sad old washed up Boris

DuncinToffee · 22/10/2022 17:50

This thread is going to fill up soon with this derailment. Janiie want Johnson back, shall we leave it at that?

jgw1 · 22/10/2022 17:51

itsgettingweird · 22/10/2022 16:48

I thought other countries had delivered the vaccine before we started? IIRC it was Isreal who were over 50% into their programme before any other country started?

No, no, Boris personally developed and jabbed the first person with vacinne, all in his spare time. And then went around the country cleaning chairs to make sure we were all vaccinated.
