Buy the chain of shops

HighlandPony · 17/10/2022 15:21

Last time I was in it was sooooo expensive. Dearer than Waterstones. I don’t think you’ll get much

BlackForestCake · 17/10/2022 15:21

Books?

Trying to think what WH Smith sell nowadays. £80 would get you a lot of Toblerones.

Shedloads of stationery? A nice fountain pen?

notacooldad · 17/10/2022 15:22

I'd probably re- gift it.

Hellocatshome · 17/10/2022 15:22

I think they sell gjft cards in there for other shops like Amazon, Nandos etc I would buy a voucher for a shop you actually want to buy something from.

BothArms19 · 17/10/2022 15:22

It's a weird choice, isn't it! It's not that I'm not grateful but there was a Boots store directly opposite! I'm wondering if it's something I've said about books, stationery or... Toblerones..?!

Meal deals, chocolate and a glossy mag for a couple of weeks

Murray Mints because its the only place I can find them.

CuckooWrasse · 17/10/2022 15:24

Board games for Christmas, books, nice sketch book and watercolours, magnetic notice board for the kitchen. . .

AmberGer · 17/10/2022 15:24

They sell red letter days.
I'd use it for one of those. A night away or something

murasaki · 17/10/2022 15:24

That seems cheeky but genius!

MatildaMonroe · 17/10/2022 15:24

You could probably spend that on their "up selling" at the till once you bought a singular bic

dementedpixie · 17/10/2022 15:26

No i don't think you can buy other gift cards with a voucher

Stationery. Christmas wrapping paper

AForkTooFar · 17/10/2022 15:27

Do they sell postage stamps?

CuckooWrasse · 17/10/2022 15:27

Wow this is a good shout. Your voucher giver will be expecting you to just have some new stationary and you can say "thanks, I had a great eg flying lesson/ race car experience day/ murder mystery evening!".

girlmom21 · 17/10/2022 15:27

You normally can't use gift cards to buy gift cards.

Any kids you need to buy Christmas presents for? They normally do toys and jigsaws. Or books for anyone, actually. Basically it'd supplement my Christmas budget Grin

MeowMeowPowerRangers · 17/10/2022 15:28

Books, and some cute stationery. Grin

girlmom21 · 17/10/2022 15:28

AForkTooFar · 17/10/2022 15:27

Do they sell postage stamps?

You're normally not allowed to buy stamps or lottery tickets with gift cards

CosmopolitanPlease · 17/10/2022 15:28

Lottery tickets and scratch cards?

MatildaMonroe · 17/10/2022 15:29

@BlackForestCake they used to have cabinets of fountain pens , now they have biros in multi packets hanging on a plinth
Shame really

Savingpeoplehuntingthings · 17/10/2022 15:29

ToadSmall · 17/10/2022 15:30

They won't let you out if you don't buy a chocolate orange so make sure you leave a pound for that.

lannistunut · 17/10/2022 15:31

I could easily spend it on fineliners and books.
