Just that really, including to run errands etc...

I’m on maternity leave at the moment and I try to leave the house at least once a day, even if it’s just for a quick walk

Gr33ngr33ngr4ss · 08/10/2022 22:26

I haven't since Thursday.
I WFH. Tomorrow I'm out all day. Monday I'm out. Tuesday I probably won't go out.

But I do speak to a lot of people and have a family at home.

TimeForMeToF1y · 08/10/2022 22:27

Every day, I can't imagine not going outside unless I was ill

APlanetFarFarAway · 08/10/2022 22:29

At least twice a day but often more

  • going to work
  • school run
  • taking kids to activities
  • shops
Brieeeeeeeee · 08/10/2022 22:30

at least once a day, every day. Quick walk before work if wfh and usually in the evening too, no matter what the weather. I need fresh air.

When DS was born there was a named storm & it was wind and rain for days. Stayed indoors for a week, aside from arriving at / leaving hospital, & I hated it.

Takingabreakagain · 08/10/2022 22:30

Every day but that's because I have dogs to walk and DC to taxi for. All of them have a better social life than me!

AmyFl · 08/10/2022 22:31

As little as possible.

Dacadactyl · 08/10/2022 22:31

On a typical day, it is between 4 and 8 times.

School runs, kids activities, my actitivies etc soon add up.

Slimjimtobe · 08/10/2022 22:31

About 4 times a day
work then back, head to the shop or something, might head out for an activity or recycling bank

if I’m not working then to the leisure centre, kids activities and shop or visiting people

goldfinchonthelawn · 08/10/2022 22:35

I work from home and Dc are both at uni now, so no reason to get up and out every day to get them to school. But I try to go out at least once a day on weekdays, usually to a fitness class or for a walk with friends. At weekends DH and I usually go out at least once to theatre or a gig, for a hike or to meet up with friends. And out to shops, church, running errands in the village etc.

I feel really lethargic if I don't go out. It's not just the fresh air and exercise, it's the social interaction. Spending all day everyday working from home alone or on Zoom calls is not healthy.

Anniefrenchfry · 08/10/2022 22:35

I think the question is how often do you leave your house op?

I can be a few days in mine, but I travel at least twice a month internationally, for a few days a time and I go things like the pub if shops.

do you not go out?

FindingMyself1999 · 08/10/2022 22:36

Lots - school run is twice a day at least.
shops once a day
walk at lunchtime

so at least 4 times a day

AriettyHomily · 08/10/2022 22:36

Loads. Twice at weekends bare minimum for dog walks but usually five - ten times dependent on what's going on.

Weekdays at least three times - two times dog walk, one school bus drop off, try and get out more than that though.

MirandaWest · 08/10/2022 22:37

Generally at least twice a day - walk/run before work and a walk at lunchtime. Probably go out picking child up from school/going to the shops/talking child somewhere so more like 3 times a day.

Afterfire · 08/10/2022 22:37

Everyday! Can’t imagine being in all day unless I was seriously ill. Sometimes I just go out for a brisk walk.

AlwaysLatte · 08/10/2022 22:39

About 4-6 times a day - school runs and children's activities mostly!

DrMadelineMaxwell · 08/10/2022 22:40

In and out like a fiddler's elbow!
In the day: Work Mon-Fri. Errands Sat. Taking DD to work and collecting her on Sun.

Also in the evenings back out 3x a week for my exercise classes, more shifts for DD at her PT job (rubbish buses here), 1x taking her to a tutoring session, and seeing a friend of mine for tea or going to a quiz with other friends once a week.

yerdaindicatesonbends · 08/10/2022 22:42

Up to 6 times a day depending on work, but then I can happily go a few days without if works quiet, and it’s school holidays.

gogohmm · 08/10/2022 22:43

I go to work, go to my choir, been out twice today

Smartiepants79 · 08/10/2022 22:46

Pretty much every day. Most days more than once.
work
school drop offs etc
visiting grandmother
seeing friends
shopping

Darraq · 08/10/2022 22:46

I struggled for a number of years with agoraphobiaanow I try and get out once a day

HappenstanceMarmite · 08/10/2022 22:46

I suspect you will only get answers from the terminally busy, which won’t be a fair representation. People who don’t often venture out tend to keep it to themselves for fear of judgement. Just my opinion.

BitOutOfPractice · 08/10/2022 22:46

Everyday. I walk to and from work and try to pop out at lunchtime too.

today I have been out three times. To the gym, the tip and the supermarket. I know. Glamorous eh?

tomorrow I have a few errands to run and might go for a walk if the weather is as nice as today.

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 08/10/2022 22:47

Got a dog six months ago so now at least twice a day generally as part of a school run and a quick trot around before it gets dark.

I mostly wfh so very easy to not leave the house if not a school day.

My BIL to the best of my knowledge leaves the house about twice a week to go to the supermarket. Otherwise wfh, uses a stationary bike for exercise and is generally utterly antisocial and definitely on the spectrum.

StupidSmallFruit · 08/10/2022 22:48

Why are you asking @Swedenotturnip?
