Just that really, including to run errands etc...

LimpBiskit · 09/10/2022 00:37

3 or 4 times and I'm usually out for 12-14 hrs a day.

MissingNashville · 09/10/2022 00:44

Most days, multiple times.

Sometimes I have a day at the weekend where I stay in as my partner and kids are free to do more dog walking.

bebravelikesuperman · 09/10/2022 00:47

Once every few weeks

Verytirednow · 09/10/2022 00:49

About 5 times a day .

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 09/10/2022 00:49

Hardly ever. I'm on maternity leave and don't have a car. There's nowhere to walk to and I would struggle with both a baby and a toddler who is a bolter.
I only go out when my DP is off work and that's usually just to do some shopping.

RhubarbFairy · 09/10/2022 00:52

Depends on the day of the week and DC clubs/errands to run.

Everyday in the week (termtime) to go to work, and some days in and out doing drop off and pick up at clubs after this, other days I get home after work and I'm in for the night.

Left the house today at 830 for Parkrun, was home by 10 and only left the house to put the bins out since then. Tomorrow DS has a sports match so I'll go to that and may also go to my hobby in the evening.

Some days we're home all day, others we're all over the place.

expat101 · 09/10/2022 00:59

I live in a rural environment working from home, so I might get out twice a week for errands or picking up whatever we have run out off.

janeseymour78 · 09/10/2022 01:01

Most days but sometimes every couple as I work from home.

XDownwiththissortofthingX · 09/10/2022 01:06

If I'm working from home it can easily be a week to ten days between outside excursions. Usually it's when I need to top up on groceries, but if that's done at the weekend and I'm working from home all week there's no real need for me to leave the house.

I exercise indoors, the weather here is invariably shite, and I don't do friends or really have any interests that are outdoor activities, so other than the odd pub visit at the weekend I don't really have any reason to be outside anyway.

zigahzigah · 09/10/2022 01:07

Sometimes I'm in and out my house, no joke about 10 times a day. Other days (usually a Sunday when I'm nursing a hangover) none.

SouperNoodle · 09/10/2022 01:23

I leave my house every single day. If I'm inside for an entire day, I feel really stressed.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 09/10/2022 01:30

Monday to Friday I’m out every day for work, leave at 7am, get home between 6-7pm. I go for a walk in the park on my lunch break and spend a fair bit of time outside for work as well. Weekends I try to have one day out and one day at home. I’ve been in all day today but will be going shopping and to see my mum tomorrow.

BluSquid · 09/10/2022 01:48

About once a month usually, though some months everything seems to happen all at once so I end up needing to go out up to twice a week. After that it takes me around 3 months to recover before the whole thing starts all over again. I really need to learn to say no😅

Usernameisgone · 09/10/2022 01:55

Once a week for food shopping and errands.

kingtamponthefurred · 09/10/2022 02:11

Does going out to the bins/doing stuff in the garden count as leaving the house?

TheTantrumoftheToddlerIsThere · 09/10/2022 04:11

Work day = 2 to 3 times a day - obviously go out to work, I usually come back home to visit WFH DH on lunch depending on the weather and will also go for a family evening walk (again depending on the weather)

Non work day = 4+ times a day - includes school drop off, running errands in town, walking the dog and school pick up. It can also include taking the kids to the park and another dog walk depending on how knackered I am

Weekend - 2 times a day - day out into town to go shops/library/do activity with the kids & dog walk/play time in the park

bettbburg · 09/10/2022 04:13

Each week day to go to work.

LovedFedAndNoonesDead · 09/10/2022 04:17

Twice a day on 2 days week for DCs nursery days (will combine being out with any shopping I need or appointments) and maybe once a week to see MiL so, average week, 4-5 times

mondaytosunday · 09/10/2022 04:25

Most days at least twice as I have dogs (occasionally one of my kids walks them).
But if it's not dog walking, I kinda have a rule: if I go out I try to get three things done, for example go to the shops, get petrol, collect something from the post office.
Today I will combine the dog walking with getting the Sunday papers so that's two things.
I could happily not go out at all for a couple days, but longer than that I probably think I should go out before I turn into a hermit!

caroleanboneparte · 09/10/2022 06:54

Ex agoraphobic here.

Over the past few years I've been out every day for work/dc except a duvet day a month.

But when lockdown hit I was really wary of becoming agoraphobic again so I got out every day for my daily exercise.

That's now my habit. I really didn't like wfh. I know that I need a reason to get out everyday.

Staying in all day now makes me feel kind of ill.

I do school runs, daily shopping and almost daily exercise outside.

I find staying in the house almost claustrophobic so if I want rest I'll go to a cafe and hang out for hours.

No one ever visits me at home so I have to go to people.

I avoid online shopping as much as possible.

YorkshireLeedsLass · 09/10/2022 06:54

Once or twice a month at the most, and that's to pick up groceries, so probably 2hrs or so each time.

summergone · 09/10/2022 09:45

I go out constantly, often never in for longer than 20 minutes before I go out again . Yesterday I was at the river with dogs and kids at 6.30 and by 7.15 sitting in a restaurant having showered and put make up on .

Fuwari · 09/10/2022 10:24

I’ve had agoraphobia in the past but it wasn’t a fear of being outside the house, it was a fear of being in crowded places, supermarkets that kind of thing. So I don’t feel I need to go out and just take a walk alone, as that was never the issue. It wouldn’t stop me being agoraphobic again.

I leave the house maybe once a week on average. I wfh, DC are adults, shopping is delivered. I see no need to go out just for the sake it. If I want fresh air I have a nice garden. I can, and do, sometimes go to events or suchlike. But I have bad IBS and it means dosing up on immodium! (It was the start of IBS that made me agoraphobic years ago). So it has to be something I really want to attend.

I’ve done the whole going out to work, school runs, days/nights out etc. Now I just want to live life the way I want to live it. I have a lovely home, plenty of “home hobbies” and my cats! I like being at home and I’m rarely bored.

QueSyrahSyrah · 09/10/2022 10:44

Monday - Friday work outside of the home. Occasionally might go out again in the evening for a run or the cinema or something.

Saturday often Parkrun, then home for a bit, errands, home again, maybe out in the evening.

Sunday, about 50/50 whether I leave the house at all. If the weather's bad or we had a few drinks the night before, likely not. I really enjoy the occasional day of just pottering about at home.

CuriousCatfish · 09/10/2022 10:53

Monday to Friday, every day to go to work. Weekends, sometimes in and out all weekend and sometimes only to nip to the shops.

So every day, mostly.
