Just that really, including to run errands etc...

OP posts:

Every day. Dog needs walked and for mental health reasons.

YumYummy · 09/10/2022 11:17

Once or twice a day six days a week. I love to have one day where I don’t leave the house and wear cosy clothes all day. Guess what, today is that day?!

3rdtimeisacharm · 09/10/2022 12:01

I'm a SAHM to pre schoolers so I'm rarely I'm only in the house during nap time and then back for dinner / bed. Otherwise we're out the house!

Once or twice a month at the most, and that's to pick up groceries, so probably 2hrs or so each time.

Can I ask why?

mamabear715 · 09/10/2022 12:54

Not much. Legs & hips hurt (arthritis) & live at the top of a steep hill. Don't drive.

PinkButtercups · 09/10/2022 12:55

Everyday.

gamerchick · 09/10/2022 13:01

Loads.

Are you you worried OP? Agoraphobia can sneak up on a person.

berksandbeyond · 09/10/2022 14:19

Every day, but I have a 4 year old so no chance I'd be staying in really 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hardly ever. I'm on maternity leave and don't have a car. There's nowhere to walk to and I would struggle with both a baby and a toddler who is a bolter.
I only go out when my DP is off work and that's usually just to do some shopping.

This sounds very hard and not good for both you and the little ones. Is there really nowhere you can walk to? What's the plan for school etc?!

is there a bus service in your area?

Brigante9 · 09/10/2022 15:07

When at work, once a day. At weekends, usually twice-dog walk then shopping/errands. During lockdown, I went out twice-shocker-because again, dog walk and I had a horse who needed looking after.

thismeansnothing · 09/10/2022 15:14

Several times over the course of a day with school runs, kids after school clubs/hobbies, dog walking, errands, food shopping, going for a run etc

Pickingmyselfup · 09/10/2022 15:16

All the time because I have places to go, thing's to do. Work, school run, gym, shops, go for a run, a walk, see a friend, take the kids to the park etc.

I will stay in for the entire day sometimes which is lovely, especially in the winter. It's probably more lovely because it's a rarity.

EerilyDevilled · 09/10/2022 15:25

Anything from 1 to 5 or 6, depending how long I'm out for. Haven't spent a whole day at home since I had covid last spring. I work outside the home, go shopping, exercise, have an allotment, take the teen DCs places, meet friends.

whoruntheworldgirls · 09/10/2022 15:27

Every day. Mon-Fri school run, weekend generally have something on and if not go for a walk around the village

stormelf · 09/10/2022 15:28

School run monday-friday, nursery run Monday and Tuesday, Saturday whole morning dedicated to walking DC to dance classes. Sunday unless we have plans we just spend at home. The kids and I get fresh air by going in the garden that day

Roselilly36 · 09/10/2022 15:29

Varies, but often I don’t leave for days due to my disability.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 09/10/2022 15:29

Multiple times a day. I’d go crazy if I didn’t. Working from home during lockdown landed me on antidepressants that I’m still having to take now.

Phos · 09/10/2022 15:45

I WFH. During the week all I do is the school run. I don't have time to do other stuff as I'm working then in the evenings, I'm looking after DD whilst DH does his running, gym sessions, goes out for dinner with his parents etc.

At weekends, I try to get out both days but it doesn't always work out, particularly if DD is being a challenge.

It's depressing but it is what it is.

Fuwari · 09/10/2022 15:49

This isn't fair, you should also be getting time to do those sorts of things. I may be jumping to conclusions from your brief post but it sounds like everything falls on you.

JoshLymanIsHotterThanSam · 09/10/2022 16:00

Several times a day. Work, school runs, shopping, walking the dog, etc etc. I don’t remember a time in the last 5 years where I have spent a whole day in the house without leaving.

Snoken · 09/10/2022 16:05

4-5 times a day. I take the dogs out 4 times a day, and sometimes I go out once or twice in addition to that if I’m seeing a friend or going shopping/appointment etc. I probably spend 3-5 hours outside as I have quite active dogs too.

It didn't used to quite so much but since he started his running, it does now.

illiterato · 09/10/2022 16:15

Weekdays I do the school run twice and then go for a hike or cycle for a few hours or go to the gym. Might also go and do some errands. Weekends usually out and about with the DC for at least half the day. I’m happy to spend the odd day at home but any more than that starts to weigh on me a bit.

TheFormidableMrsC · 09/10/2022 16:30

Every day several times a day.
