I had been going to refer readers back to the excellent disposition by, I think MMBaranova on the history and current state of far right activism in Russia, Ukraine and the old vs reformed Azov battalion.

But I'm absolutely not engaging with a poster who plays shitty games like that.

Sounds very much like QAnon’s "do your research" battle cry. As an aside, there was a really interesting R4 programme just recently linking that conspiracy to an American pornographer living in the Philippines. Meanwhile that Protectandserve user name also sounded suspiciously American.

Anyhow, if someone could do a Venn diagramme we’d probably see areas of overlap between conspiracy theorists and Russian shills.

I suppose that even a slight derail disrupts the more measured discussion and might influence someone reading the thread?

This is potentially really significant, if true.

No wonder, a nuke would have very uncertain negative effects on the world economy, something China would not want.

Plus, even without such an event, who wants to be associated with a failed dictator, who may well be on his way out when he fails in Ukraine.

The thing is any change in China’s messaging is going to be discreet, they aren’t going to come out and say that they no longer support Russia/no long blame NATO.
