A little turbulence........

I thought they listened and understood

the80sweregreat · 03/10/2022 16:27

We were ok during the pandemic because of what the conservatives did previously
.. what planet does Mr K live on?
Even Boris Johnson admitted the NHS couldn't cope with a pandemic in March 2020!
Short memory syndrome

L1ttledrummergirl · 03/10/2022 16:28

He thinks the conservatives are serious defenders of the public purse. Deluded much.

Trashing building rules to wreck the countryside.

Get Britain moving
Emigrating more like.
Now he wants to rip up the ' rules '
.. no surprises there

L1ttledrummergirl · 03/10/2022 16:32

To many rules on employers, changing employment rules so no longer in line with EU.

So a country of low paid people expected to live their lives for work whilst housed in slums.

Stop strikes so there is no way to complain.

It's so depressing
They need to go. They really do

L1ttledrummergirl · 03/10/2022 16:33

Ir35 being reversed.

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 03/10/2022 16:34

I don't understand self employed rules.
Now blaming the Labour Party
.. they love a bit of blame on everyone else

L1ttledrummergirl · 03/10/2022 16:35

Claims they have stood up for working class people.

Ah. But labour...

Attacking Labour with a lie. Nobody thinks every penny you earn should go into the state, that's insane, he said Labour does though.

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 03/10/2022 16:37

Labour want to work with businesses
A nationalized energy company sounds good to me.

L1ttledrummergirl · 03/10/2022 16:37

To sum up: he's an arrogant knob who can't get through a speech without lying but wants to fuck the country over to feed his ambition.

Precisely

the80sweregreat · 03/10/2022 16:41

He is arrogant
I hate this in a man or woman
12 years and they still wang on about Labour
! Pathetic

Piggywaspushed · 03/10/2022 16:42

Very lukewarm response in the room I thought.

L1ttledrummergirl · 03/10/2022 16:44

Yes. The applause sounded false. Someone very loud to start with people joining in half heartedly and stopping as soon as they could.

His a nasty horrible man
Nasty
They deserve each other

Notonthestairs · 03/10/2022 16:53

It's almost as if Kwarteng hadn't been part of the Government since 2017.

Very little substance in that speech.

Notonthestairs · 03/10/2022 17:08

Speech was only 20 minutes or so and had zero policy. I can only think they had to cut an awful lot for fear of pushback.

tobee · 03/10/2022 17:15

When I heard it was over after about 20 minutes I thought how long is the chancellor speech normally?

tobee · 03/10/2022 17:17

My ds just shared this with me:-

the80sweregreat · 03/10/2022 17:18

What's wrong with a renationalized every company? Why is everything about money for their shareholders with them all ?

the80sweregreat · 03/10/2022 17:18

Energy

I've wasted a few minutes and in fairness to KK recent speeches seem to average around 20+ minute mark.
Sunak's during covid was even shorter but apparently they'd been told to keep it short.

YogaLite · 03/10/2022 17:44

There is a petition going requesting general election if anyone is interested, nearly half a million have already signed.
