Harry - regretful?

Brasschamberstick · 20/09/2022 10:40

Do we think after seeing the magnificence of yesterday that he is regretting giving it all up?

He looks so angry and unhappy all the time now?

What daisychain01 said. A nasty thread from people who actually know nothing. I am not in favour of the monarchy but these very personal nasty comments really grate.

I agree. Harry and Meghan were totally cold shouldered. Jack Brooksbank couldn't even acknowledge Harry. Sophie was looking daggers. Not very nice but who knows what's been happening behind the scenes. For some of you Harry is a social justice warrior but for his family who have known him all of their lives he's a well loved family member who's turned into a bit of a plonker.

Jack and Eugenie visited them not that long ago in the US, there were photos of them laughing having dinner at a restaurant. Have they fallen out since then? 😂

How would I know. All I know is the pictures of the family pointedly not talking to M&H. I'm not condoning that. It's very sad. I wish they could all get on because life is too short.

notanotheroneagain · 20/09/2022 17:31

No, Harry and Meghan are doing very well with their multimillion deals and investments. Busy and booked.

They will clear things in their book. The RF must stop harassing them through British media. Atleast they are safer in the US.

It occurs to me most MNers don't know what they have been doing these last couple of year, but they have been raising funds for charities and causes.

Ultimately, they have what other royals probably wish for. A platform for charity and service, as well as making money to live comfortably, minus the restrains of the crown.

and also, why would Sophie be polite to her? If a close relative of mine had slagged off my family on the biggest chat show on the planet, they'd pretty much be dead to me ever after.

Common decency? I don't think anyone in the Royal Family has a spotless record except maybe the late Queen and Princess Anne. Many of them have spoken to the press or been otherwise indiscreet. Sitting in stony silence doesn't reflect well on Sophie IMO and I recall she was like that towards Meghan at the Commonwealth service too. I don't think Meghan's 'crimes' merit being publicly snubbed.

I think this is probably true - pretty cruel way to treat family members at a funeral though.

Anonymouseposter · 20/09/2022 17:40

I don't think the Royal family are harassing them via the British media for a minute.
Other members of the Royal family have had bad treatment from the media in the past, including phone hacking.
The media are doing it off their own back.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/09/2022 17:42

Hopefully they both realise their life is in america and they can do a lot of good there. Its the sniping at the RF, lies in self serving books and in interviews, that are quite unecessary

I agree with that first sentence, but sadly it's what's contained in the second which appears to be paying for much of it, in the absence up to now of any major content for their backers

Admirable as it is, "doing good" won't necessarily pay for their lifestyle, and beyond selling tell-alls we've yet to see what they've got to offer which will

JanetheObscure · 20/09/2022 17:46

About Jack Brooksbank "cold shouldering" Harry. Unless I'm much mistaken, he lives in Harry's house (Frogmore Cottage). Or certainly lived in it until very recently.

So - I think they are probably on speaking terms....

It's a bitchy comment about his MIL. According to a ridiculous and racist (Who is Dis?) headline she unveiled a new tattoo a few weeks ago. Doria was papped out walking her dog minding her own business she wasn't unveiling anything.

Oh my word... that was about Doria?! A bit more than bitchy then, wow!

He lives in Portugal.
They were pictured having a laugh at the Jubilee service so it's all a bit strange.
Maybe it was the tension of the funeral.

the latest is carping about a HRH Princess title. Has anyone heard this from them directly or did you read it in the Daily Express. As derxasaid none of us have any idea what’s being said behind the scenes and people are just making things up. I hope all the Royal family are able to ignore it.

Well Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire ' Elle, Instyle, Glamour, yahoo news, LBC, national post, sun, etc all report they are furious over the lack of HRH because it will gain them free protection. Of coure 20 or so news sources must be wrong because M&H haven't dared to say so publicly.

hewouldwouldnthe · 20/09/2022 18:03

@Puzzledandpissedoff They have Millions $$$$ between them with diana's inheritance and MMs alleged fotune from her tv career. Why can't they just live the quiet lives they asked for. Why constantly court publicity with tell all books and interviews. Dirty linen and all that.

kirinm · 20/09/2022 18:05

Those aren't fucking news sources! Let alone reliable news sources.

I don't even have to read it, to know that one source or an 'according to the DM/whatever' in all those articles.

How vile to post something like that 😠

This is a horrible thread, full of nasty vindictive accusations and made up "facts" and assumptions about people you know sweet FA about.

Totally agree. God this thread. I feel Harry and Meghan have made mistakes and have said so but the comments about Doria, the grandmother not the "babysitter" (it's not a pit bull, BTW, it's a Staffie with also a bit of a greyhound look) and her tattoos (the problem with that is what exactly?)

Awful.

BitossiBlues · 20/09/2022 18:24

Nobody was talking to anybody yesterday. Probably because they know that the media will be trying to lip read their every exchange. Everyone looked somber or downright miserable. Sophie looked grief stricken. I wouldn't want to chat with anyone if I'd just lost someone I was that close to. Why is it a one way street? I didn't see Meghan trying to engage anyone to chat either.

The idea that Harry is reformed from his former racist attitude by dint of marrying Meghan is laughable. If anything, he has used her race for his own agenda - using her as a Molatov Cocktail, thrown into the RF in order to get back at them for his childhood and loss of his mother. As a woman of colour, I've met and dated a number of his type - being used as a romantic partner in order to piss off the family. All SJW types too.

They could both do with just shutting up about the RF and getting on with their lives in the US. They could potentially have a very good thing going as modern Royals in a modern and liberal country that will embrace them. Harry's tell all book is surely a dangerous game to play, because then the gloves will be off, and there's no Queen Liz as a peace maker anymore. There are rumours aplenty about Meghan lying about her age, Doria having done jail time, Thomas being the victim of a stitch up, and any number of people (ex partners, ex friends, her half siblings, her dad) probably champing at the bit to counter attack with no holds barred. Nobody will come out of it well, and the people who will suffer will be Harry and his children, but most likely of all, Meghan.

Wheresthebeach · 20/09/2022 18:30

I think everyone was grief stricken yesterday and this constant assessment of everyone's behaviour, looking for slights, doesn't help anyone.

H&M need to head home, work hard, and stop attacking the RF. They have what they want, freedom, so off they should fly to the US and live the lives they want. The constant complaining and victimhood needs to stop - for their good, as much as anyone else.

And they should just pretend the hundreds of vitriolic newspapers articles about them haven't happened? Do you think BP would stand for anyone else in the RF being written about like that?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/09/2022 18:38

They have Millions $$$$ between them with diana's inheritance and MMs alleged fortune from her tv career

True enough, hewouldwouldnthe, though TV careers can be insecure and how much of Diana's money is left is anyone's guess. Admittedly it's money that would keep most of us for a lifetime, but not if we picked a Santa Barbara mansion and had that sort of lifestyle to maintain, to say nothing of security costs

If they're not taking UK public money it's actually none of our business how they're paying for it all, but that doesn't stop people wondering - especially, as said, when they so far appear to have produced little except tell-alls of one sort or another

TheFairyCaravan · 20/09/2022 18:39

Bloody hell, this thread is vile.

So many posters on here need help. How can you be so hateful about 2 people you’ve never met, who you know absolutely nothing about and whose lives you only see a snippet of. I’m so glad I know none of you personally.
