This is a real good guide for all the timings for tomorrow - www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-60617519

The bit at the end with the Lord Chamberlain will be the hardest to watch I think, signaling the end of his service to her, as will the act of separating her from her crown.

I know everyone isn't a royalist but today will be such a sad occasion.

They are playing your song Charles!

Sunbird24 · 19/09/2022 12:01

Guess they did a different fanfare and reveille instead of the Last Post, probably not a bad thing

XXV · 19/09/2022 12:01

I bet Charles is glad he doesn't ever have to sing the National Anthem again. It must grate after the years.

Violashift · 19/09/2022 12:01

Seems weird crass singing King while the Queen's body is there.😓

bendmeoverbackwards · 19/09/2022 12:01

How many verses of the national anthem are there?

Vapeyvapevape · 19/09/2022 12:01

Sunbird24 · 19/09/2022 11:59

My next door neighbours didn’t, I could hear them shouting through the wall…

🙄 I suppose not everyone is watching.

SoupDragon · 19/09/2022 12:01

I don't think I've ever heard the second verse

PleaseGoDontGoAgain · 19/09/2022 12:01

God save the king just threw me. Ive had ten days to get used to it.

TugboatAnnie · 19/09/2022 12:02

King of Sweden there, someone was wondering if he'd cone

MrsLargeEmbodied · 19/09/2022 12:02

Send him victorious, still gets me

Liorae · 19/09/2022 12:02

The Queen’s state funeral is not about diversity.
That is pretty obvious.

Thought the same!

We didn't, either. I was entertaining f the baby and my three year old was doing a Peppa Pig drag-and-drop game. 'Hello, Mr. Potato! Hello, Suzy Sheep!'.

'In the midst of life, we are in death', according to the BCP. More the other way around, in this house!

CakeCrumbs44 · 19/09/2022 12:02

It wasn't a very personal service though, nothing about her as a person or her family. I'm not sure it would make me cry as a member of the family (although I'm not religious so maybe that's part of it). I would have thought there would be more emotion at the family service later today.

PizzaFunghi · 19/09/2022 12:02

We're George and Charlotte sitting next to each other earlier? Maybe not. Kate is between them now

JoanOgden · 19/09/2022 12:02

Oh gosh poor King, he looks so sad during the National Anthem

spanieleyes · 19/09/2022 12:02

Edward couldn't sing, he was on the verge of tears.

ApolloandDaphne · 19/09/2022 12:02

It must be so weird for Charles hearing that sung now.

Andante57 · 19/09/2022 12:02

Ok. So I was golfing it together - until the nAtional anthem

Me too.

MarshaBradyo · 19/09/2022 12:02

Oh my goodness how beautiful

LetMeSpeak · 19/09/2022 12:02

I’m still not saying “king” until the after the coronation.

littlbrowndog · 19/09/2022 12:02

Oh a lament I think

XXV · 19/09/2022 12:02

This reminds me of the piper at PP's funeral. That was incredible.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 19/09/2022 12:02

The piper

TimeSlipMushroom · 19/09/2022 12:02

Seems a bit odd them all singing god save the king in front of the queen's coffin!
