This is a real good guide for all the timings for tomorrow - www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-60617519

The bit at the end with the Lord Chamberlain will be the hardest to watch I think, signaling the end of his service to her, as will the act of separating her from her crown.

I know everyone isn't a royalist but today will be such a sad occasion.

Are the spouses of children and the other grandchildren (all the girls, and James) as well as George and Charlotte waiting to walk behind the coffin or are the rest of them seated already? The were walking in but I don't know how far, maybe not to their seats

SoupDragon · 19/09/2022 10:56

Don't drop it
dont drop it
dont drop it

LMBoston · 19/09/2022 10:56

To lighten the mood slightly, Major Johnny Thompson looks as gorgeous as ever!

EdieLedwell · 19/09/2022 10:57

The bearer party gives me massive anxiety

Ndd135632 · 19/09/2022 10:57

Why is it a stupid hat on Charlotte. She looks super smart

IconicKitty · 19/09/2022 10:57

I hadn't been too affected until now - of course it's sad and feels strange, but she was after all, someone the majority of us never met.

However, this has got to me and I cant stop the tears. It really is the end of an era and symbolises a loss of a generation.

ApolloandDaphne · 19/09/2022 10:57

The flowers are beautiful. I wonder what it says on the card?

Vapeyvapevape · 19/09/2022 10:57

The bearers biceps must be massive , not to have to do a knee bend and a hup to raise the coffin .

I would have thought the sailors would have shaved. My DH is a Sergeant in the RM. No facial hair allowed.

It's allowed in the navy, but they have to ask for "permission to stop shaving". And they used to make them wait till they go on leave, so that by the time they get back it's a proper beard. That may have changed.

vroom321 · 19/09/2022 10:58

Yes I know it's allowed.

The spouses of the children are waiting, along with George and Charlotte, the Duke of Kent and Prince Michael of Kent.

they will walk behind the coffin. The rest of the grandchildren are already at their seats.

itsgettingweird · 19/09/2022 10:58

I'd literally be shitting myself if I had to carry the queens coffin in front of the world.

These are young men. What an honour and privilege but a flipping world of weight on your shoulders!

JudgeJ · 19/09/2022 10:58

Very quiet orders being given.

TugboatAnnie · 19/09/2022 10:58

The card looked like it had the Queen's signature on it, which it wasn't of course

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 10:59

I'm off again Sad

Benefi · 19/09/2022 10:59

(Did the coffin procession actually pass any members of the public?).

RafaistheKingofClay · 19/09/2022 10:59

I know they’ll have rehearsed this loads but the pressure must be unreal.

SoupDragon · 19/09/2022 10:59

The choir has set me off again,

Foldingchair · 19/09/2022 10:59

Do you reckon that's the real crown or a replica? I know it's not like anyone is going to run in and swipe it.

JustLyra · 19/09/2022 10:59

It’s Charles’ signature on the card

PizzaFunghi · 19/09/2022 10:59

Thanks.

Some beautiful shots of the abbey from above.

Belledan1 · 19/09/2022 11:00

The families of all the soldiers involved must be so proud especially the ones who moved the coffin and the young ones pulling it esp as not bern in service long . Makes you feel proud to be British..

Watapalava · 19/09/2022 11:00

Does anyone know why there was so much sand outside? It looked really scruffy like someone needed to brush up? Surprised given it’s being shown world wide

SoupDragon · 19/09/2022 10:59

The choir has set me off again,

Me too. Choirs sound amazing in Westminster Abbey. Brill acoustics.
