I was enjoying reading the other thread. If anyone wants to continue

Here's first thread:

@DysonSphere
Fantastic. So glad I did it. Such an amazing experience. Thanks for asking.

LIZS · 18/09/2022 19:56

Now at London bridge. Maybe they hope by asking people not to travel it will naturally wind down.

LIZS · 18/09/2022 19:39

Apparently Pritti Patel is out marshalling the queue

Yep! I walked right past her and didn’t even notice

AngeloMysterioso · 18/09/2022 20:05

Queue end is London Bridge now!

robotchez · 18/09/2022 20:09

What do you think the cheering was just now?

robotchez · 18/09/2022 20:10

Just realised it was prob end of the minute's silence

Antarcticant · 18/09/2022 20:20

It's at 7 hours according to the tracker, so if it doesn't get longer in theory you'd be OK to join up till 11:30pm

EmmaH2022 · 18/09/2022 20:34

I think the changes to the end of the queue have been great management. I was way out saying that they’d close at 3, they have done such a great job.

Fuwari · 18/09/2022 20:36

Conversely if it keeps getting shorter 3-4am may be prime time to join! You could well be looking at an hours wait max by then. I think most people have either now been or resigned themselves to not going.

Interesting thought, and yes superb management!

I was just thinking that people who queued for hours might be pissed off of there’s going to be a group who get in in a relatively short period.

did the silence and one neighbour just returned from Green Park. Said it was lovely.

Are any other MPs helping out? That's quite decent of her.

I wish I could have gone but health issues and child at home prevent that

Not wanting to derail but how do you all stand for 10+ hours and also no sleeping/resting ?

I hope it keeps rain free tonight for you all

LIZS · 18/09/2022 21:28

Time now 8 hours so will have to shut off soon.

BlueBloodedBlue · 18/09/2022 21:50

anyone know which exit to use from London Bridge Station.please

EtiquetteQuestion · 18/09/2022 22:09

I've been watching the live feed - I can see that people are being filtered into two lanes each side of the catafalque. Is it random whether you get to go left or right and whether you are in the nearest or furthest lane?

I'm just wondering how people feel to have queued for hours to end up paying their respects with other people standing in front of them.

I can completely see why they have the four lanes though.

claracluck1978 · 18/09/2022 22:16

You are funnelled yes and you are told when to move along. However, I was in the third column and then waited for a pause in the queue and respectfully moved forward so I could pay my respects without anyone in front of me. Nobody seemed to have minded. It gave us all those brief seconds longer in the Hall.

Thank you. Everyone seems to be incredibly respectful of everyone else. It is really rather moving to watch.

EmmaH2022 · 18/09/2022 22:37

I think Hays Galleria exit from London Bridge but not sure.

when will the Queue close, is now the $64million question. If I wasn’t at mum’s I’d consider going myself.

LIZS · 18/09/2022 22:38

If the estimated time is 8 hours surely it must close shortly to be clear by 6:30.

From where the Queue starts now can’t be 8 hours unless it’s closed for rehearsal for a bit? Do you think they might be keeping that time listed to deter people?
