anyone queuing to see the coffin in London atm?

I am wondering how long the queue is and how the organisation is working out. Are there enough toilets? Is it true that the wristband allows you to leave and come back?

I’m not queuing but I walked past the end of the queue about 30 minutes ago and it was just past the Globe Theatre. It seemed pretty calm and there were a lot of stewards and St. John’s ambulance around.

Thank you!

It's been reported there are portoloos and some museums/cafes are allowing access to their toilets. I'm sure you've seen it, but the wristbands were reported earlier on the news that they give you access if you've had to leave the queue. Are you thinking of going?

GirlsTalk250 · 14/09/2022 19:50

I would be interested to know the current estimated queuing time, if anyone knows?

I stayed away from the procession today as was afraid it would be too crowded, but regretting it now and would like to pay my respects.

Iusedtobecarmen · 14/09/2022 19:52

I'd like to know average time too. As I'm going tomorrow

Pootle40 · 14/09/2022 19:53

30 hours according to the daily Mail

Queue tracker is here:

ureterr1blemuriel · 14/09/2022 19:55

Thanks for sharing link.

It’d be better if they posted approx wait time rather than distance as that could mean anything.

ExecutiveStrategyCoordinator · 14/09/2022 19:56

Why would you do this?

OhhhhhhhhBiscuits · 14/09/2022 19:59

ExecutiveStrategyCoordinator · 14/09/2022 19:56

Why would you do this?

Because they want to. The same reason lots of people do lots of things.

MrsWombat · 14/09/2022 20:00

Someone on their twitter said it's 2.5 hours per mile....

ZealAndArdour · 14/09/2022 20:06

No, and I’m now rather dreading our pre-planned weekend in London for a non-negotiable appointment. Hopefully none of them have any business in Shoreditch.

I think that is what it could become not what it actually is

Have a little think.🙄

IceStationZebra · 14/09/2022 20:15

Use the official DCMS social channels to see the queuing time

DickDarstedly · 14/09/2022 20:35

The DCMS tracker doesn’t estimate time, just distance

bellac11 · 14/09/2022 20:37

Thats reduced from earlier, how strange, it was nearly 3 miles about 530

I'm not there but someone I know joined the queue at 3pm at Blackfriars Bridge and just got in around 15 minutes ago. Take into account they didn't open until 5,

That’s not that bad at all

CandyLeBonBon · 14/09/2022 20:43

So how does it work overnight? Surely people need to sleep? Wee/poo/eat? What happens if you fall asleep and the queue moves? I don't get it??

Bookworm777 · 14/09/2022 20:47

It would normally take 45 minutes to walk at a brisk pace to Westminster Hall from where the queue starts, so I reckon at a slow shuffle it will be at least three times that.

It doesn't stop. You keep walking all the time

idonotmind · 14/09/2022 20:52

What if you're asleep? Is overtaking allowed?
