Not a super high end, bougie, oxygen bar and a personal chef style hotel.

just your standard, premier inn + style.

mine is plug points near the fucking bed.

I’m currently hanging off the edge of the bed on an attempt to chill and do some work 🙃

Soundproofing

welldog · 16/09/2022 15:18

A bath.

Hotels are switching to shower only. I like to soak I. It.

AiryFairy1 · 16/09/2022 15:19

Normal intuitive taps in the shower - this is one area that NOT require over-engineering 😤

IroningThrone · 16/09/2022 15:20

I keep an extension lead in my bag for this reason!

Curtains that close properly!

Twoshoesnewshoes · 16/09/2022 15:20

Decent sized tea mugs
definitely sound proofing!

MeDearNoDear · 16/09/2022 15:20

A proper hairdryer that you can switch on and off, and a plug near a mirror.

Kezzie200 · 16/09/2022 15:21

A small kitchenette. Fridge, sink and cloth, worksurface, basic cutlery and china, normal coffee/tea making facilities, microwave.

But no restaurant.

Mushroo · 16/09/2022 15:21

Plugs beside the beds
somewhere to hang a wet coat / umbrella
a full length mirror
plugs near a mirror for drying hair
pint sized water glasses not thimbles
more hangers

Kpo58 · 16/09/2022 15:22

Windows that open for ventilation.

MsFogi · 16/09/2022 15:22

Decent lighting in the bathroom (and bedroom) - I am so fed up of hotels that have the bathrooms and bedrooms in semi-darkness. It makes it impossible to do make up and I assume they are all hiding the dirt!

Crikeyalmighty · 16/09/2022 15:22

Proper shelves in bathroom to put stuff on

Bedside tables/lamps/sockets

MaChienEstUnDick · 16/09/2022 15:22

A light by a mirror with a shelf so that I can do my make up and not look like I did it with my eyes shut. Please.

Longdistance · 16/09/2022 15:23

I bloody hate that the plug points are in the most inconvenient places in hotels. I’ll have a word with dh next time he’s on a hotel construction project.

Paq · 16/09/2022 15:24

More than 6 inches of circulation space around the bed.

Soundproofing between the bedroom and the en suite so I don't have to turn the tv up to max when DH uses it. 😳😀

SummerLove2306 · 16/09/2022 15:25

As soon as I read the title I said plugs near the bed.

Glad we agree 😂

TheMousePipes · 16/09/2022 15:25

Enough space to put my case away. I don’t want to be reminded that I have to pack up and go again the whole time I’m away.

Glitterspy · 16/09/2022 15:26

Cold water taps next to the bed.

A spa and a baby listening service that works when you’re in said spa

DillonPanthersTexas · 16/09/2022 15:27

Batteries in the fucking TV remote.

PuttingDownRoots · 16/09/2022 15:27

Walk in showers
Beds of a sensible height
Interconnecting rooms for families (with decent blocks for single guests!)
Proper chairs
Free WiFi
USB charging points

bicyclesaredeathtraps · 16/09/2022 15:27

A wheelchair accessible room(s) actually designed with enough space so the wheelchair can get around it. With a bed that can be a double or two singles, so I don't have to share a bed with my friend and couples can actually sleep together like everyone else. Also a wheelchair accessible family suite (e.g. connected twin room) if family suites are something the hotel offers. We disabled people have kids and want to stay in hotels too!

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 16/09/2022 15:28

Somewhere for 2 suitcases

VaginaRegina · 16/09/2022 15:28

SO MANY THINGS!

Powerful hairdryers
Plug and USB sockets near the bed and desk
Decent task lighting at desk
Iron and ironing board
Plenty of hangers, and not those stupid headless ones either
Hooks on doors for hanging e.g. wet outerwear
TVs that you don't need a degree in electronic engineering to operate
Decent sized glasses (made of glass) and mugs for tea
CLEAN carpets

NO smug, virtue-signalling signs about the environment
NO extraneous cushions, throws etc
NO alarm clock/radio by the bed. Everyone has phones, and if there were USB sockets, could charge them overnight with the alarm set.

Ooh, that was cathartic!

Crucible · 16/09/2022 15:28

A room with a room off it to bring my dogs and their travel crates. I second the vote for a non complicated unit to turn the bath or shower on. I've never seen the same one twice (and I've seen bloody loads) and it is an exercise in pointless complexity.

Djchickpea · 16/09/2022 15:30

Another vote for a mirror that you can actually get near to, with decent lighting for make up. Ideally one of those ones that come out on an arm, with magnification and built in lights round it. And a full length mirror. More than 2 teabags.

IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece · 16/09/2022 15:32

Ah can you imagine, all of these together would make the most perfect hotel!!

decent uncomplicated shower would be amazing. The one here is utter shite!
