I am wondering how long the queue is and how the organisation is working out. Are there enough toilets? Is it true that the wristband allows you to leave and come back?

Foreigner's coming over here and taking places that could go to British people, bleeding liberty yer Majesty....

SpinCityBlues · 16/09/2022 18:58

Imagine being in the Queue Committee.

David Tennant voice:

Siobhan Sharpe, promoted to Head of Queue Branding, suggests that a quintessentially likeable British character like Postman Pat be paid to stand in the 24-hour queue. Unfortunately however Postman Pat is not real, and the Royal Mail is on strike.

Piccalino3 · 16/09/2022 18:59

I'm in the queue! Joined the queue about 5.30pm. Marshall's are saying it should be about 14 hours. I really hope it is but feel for people far away who can't take the risk travelling

My son (who was travelling up today) has just reported that he’s in the queue for The Queue in Southwark Park, in Zone 1 (whatever that signifies).

They've just reported on Sky news that it will take at least 3hrs to make it through the Southwark Park zigzag queue. That's not including the queue before the queue. When I went last night it took me 1hr, but it wasn't rammed full

YoullHaveACupoTayAhGwan · 16/09/2022 19:34

So 3 hrs through Southwark Park and then is it 24 hrs after that? I ‘only’ queued for 6.5 hours on Wednesday, starting West of Southwark Bridge, which seems like a breeze now!

Jellykat · 16/09/2022 19:36

Watching for when the four royal family members do the vigil on telly, wonder if they halt the public queue when they are doing it?
If not that would be an extraordinary sight!

LIZS · 16/09/2022 19:38

They are arriving and the press, security and gallery have suddenly appeared

Jellykat · 16/09/2022 19:48

Wow, public still there as usual, bet theyre well shocked at what theyre seeing!

YoullHaveACupoTayAhGwan · 16/09/2022 19:51

Wow, quite a sight! Anne looks especially smart. Public seem to be behind an extra rope while Royals filed on.

LIZS · 16/09/2022 19:53

Do we know what uniform Anne is wearing?

YoullHaveACupoTayAhGwan · 16/09/2022 19:53

The rest of the Royals are all on the raised area at the side.

YoullHaveACupoTayAhGwan · 16/09/2022 19:54

They are all in Naval uniforms but I can’t be more specific than that.

vera99 · 16/09/2022 19:55

Good luck for those getting this version.

SpinCityBlues · 16/09/2022 19:56

Anne is channelling Nelson there. I'm so glad she is a 'prince'.

sparkle17 · 16/09/2022 19:56

They seem to be getting a lot more people through now which is good. It was too slow initially unsuccessful think

snowballer · 16/09/2022 19:58

No William/Harry with the other royals?

CrapBucket · 16/09/2022 19:59

Glad to see Anne there. I would be disappointed to queue all that time and end up face to face with that creepy bastard Andrew though.

QuebecBagnet · 16/09/2022 19:59

Who is the young blonde boy with the royals, near the Tindall kids?

They said 14 hours in The Queue or 14 hours from when you turned up?

Whiskers4 · 16/09/2022 20:04

I'm not a Royalist, but total respect to Queen's children and family. What a privilege for anyone in the Hall.

They are included in tomorrow’s vigil.

TeenDivided · 16/09/2022 20:07

Tomorrow the 8 grandchildren will be holding vigil.

We thought Anne was channeling HMS Pinnafore's 'Ruler of the Queen's Navy' somewhat.

YoullHaveACupoTayAhGwan · 16/09/2022 20:09

14 hours is quite a bit different to the 24 hours reported on the bbc!
