Can you remember where you went on honeymoon?

Because I can't. Granted it was almost 20 years ago but I have no memory of where we stayed (but I know it was Cornwall). It's freaked me out a bit. Someone asked me about it and it seems to have been wiped from my memory...

Have other occasions been wiped from your mind? Was it a difficult time? Drunk? Stressful? Could you remember it previously and this is new that your now can't?

Yes, I recall many details of my honeymoon- 11yrs ago. But also details of meeting DH 21yrs ago, holidays we went on, and things back to childhood.

Mexico. DH broke his toe, got food poisoning and was attacked by a turtle.

Our holidays always have wierd elements.

Mine was 37 years ago and I know we went to a cottage in the Lake District but I can't recall the town.

It was a small damp cottage in the pouring rain and I had a cold which became a chest infection.

We cut our losses and came home early to the flat I had never stayed in and the new bed we had bought but never slept in.

It was bliss to be back and in hindsight we should have just spent a week there hiding away from the world.

I was pregnant so not drunk and I can remember things from before but not the actual honeymoon...weird...

Hmm maybe the venue and location weren't as interesting as - each other?

Jersey, for a week. 1980

Paris, it was very romantic
I remember all the details of our wedding and honeymoon and we have been married 23 years.

I think pregnancy may be why. My brain definitely went AWOL for large portions of pregnancy especially the first part.

Hong Kong for a week and Bali for two.

Erm, yes. It was 10 years ago and it was Koh Samui for 2 weeks.
I'm struggling to understand how you could forget yours OP. We eloped, so the day itself wasn't even a massive event, but I still remember what came after it.

Colwyn Bay 1979. The day of our wedding was lovely and warm.
The next week it was freezing and raining. Only stayed 3 days then
came home.

Rome for 3 days. Couldn't go for longer as we had to get back to our kids...

1st marriage - Jersey
2nd marriage - Centre Parcs, Sherwood Forest.

Yes - also Cornwall, 17 years ago. I could name the hotel we stayed at and I remember many of the things we did although not necessarily in the right order. Have you any photos that might jog your memory, OP?

Maldives

Should have been Tanzania safari but terrorist activity 3 days before the wedding meant an emergency change!

In hindsight we were knackered after all the wedding stuff and Maldives was perfect

Still not been to Tanzania - it's on the to do list!

Rothbury Newcastle Arms hôtel, 4 nights August 1977. Now divorced.

Paris -1991. Can't remember the hotel
we stayed in although I bet dh can!

Amsterdam 1996. The hotel was near Vondelpark. Smoked some White Widow and got enormously giggly stoned. One of the high points was visiting the Poezenboat, but I have many happy memories of all of it despite all the weed

Disneyland Paris for a WEEK.

With two kids ate 2 and 4.

Paris, 1980. Weather on the wedding day was grey and miserable, Paris was glorious sunshine.
