Can you remember where you went on honeymoon?

Because I can't. Granted it was almost 20 years ago but I have no memory of where we stayed (but I know it was Cornwall). It's freaked me out a bit. Someone asked me about it and it seems to have been wiped from my memory...

You spent the whole time in the bed and didn't leave the room so the location is blurry? 😉

First time round it was west Wales in glorious sunshine.

That's a little bit odd? Do you have memory problems generally? I'm terrible at old school friends and college friends names but places I'm fine. We went to a resort in Greneda the Rex Grenadian. Virgin Holidays deal. It was so wonderful and is on my wish list to go back if I ever have any money spare.

OP, I literally have no recollection of buying and moving into my first house when I was pregnant.

When I first read your title I thought that I did remember but, now that I think about it, it's a bit hazy. We married over 30 years ago and went to visit my in-laws in Malaysia. Some of it is really clear, like the aunties dressing me up in a sari for the blessing, but I can't account for every day of the honeymoon. I know that we travelled around and stayed in hotels, but we have visited Malaysia multiple times since then and also travelled around and it's not clear to me now which ones were honeymoon and which ones were subsequent to that.

South of France but can't remember the name of the nearest town, it was a gite belonging to friends of my parents so we didn't search or book it ourselves, just said thank you and paid for it. We spent most of the time at the beach but the gite was inland. I think if I'd booked it I'd remember. I can remember most other holidays in the same time frame (last 25 years).

I buried my shoes at Colwyn Bay in 1974 and lost the hotel key ,I was nearly one 🤣

Yes, 17 years ago today we were in Cape Town then went to the wine region, garden route, safari and finished with a week in Mauritius. I can’t remember the exact places we stayed but have a pretty good memory of most of it.

29-Years this week.
Can remember the place, name of hotel, how long we stayed (5-days).
We both also remember the catchphrase of the head waitress when she came to take your order for breakfast & dinner.

We still go back to the town (UK) from time to time.

I got married 17 years ago ,we had a couple if days in York straight after the wedding
And then went to the Dominican Republic, a couple of months later .

We had a week in Corsica, with DS (who was 3) and DD1 (11 months). We also brought my parents along; not sure DH has quite forgiven me. But actually it was great having the extra childcare, and we did manage the odd date night.

Colony Club, Barbados - lots of Piña coladas and rum punch. It was my father's wedding present as we'd only just graduated from University the previous summer. My daughter was born 9 months later 😑

Bahamas, 1970. Not me, my parents. (I haven't been on honeymoon so I don't have one of my own to remember.)

As much as I love Manchester ,i live in GreaterManchester ,its not somewhere I would consider for a Honeymoon particularly in 1989 ,the 1996 bomb forced them to smarten up the city centre.

I also went to Cornwall pregnant and came back a month later with a baby, not easy to forget that one

We went to Orkney for a week in 1992.

Stayed in Kirkwall, and visited different places round the islands every day.

Been happily divorced since 2002.

Yeah, mine was wedged in between crucial football matches 😔 but I had the promise that when we next went on holiday we'd go anywhere I wanted. So three weeks in California with a trip to Vegas and Lake Tahoe it was.

Oh yes, our wedding was wedged in between the play off finals and the World Cup finals. Didn't want everyone disappearing during the reception to watch or listen to football (even though I am a huge fan myself).

Mine was in Berlin but I have no memory of which hotel/area - is that what you mean? Obviously you remember it was in Cornwall!

In our case we accidentally booked a hotel aimed at people travelling for business, so it was pretty bland and unmemorable. I can (vaguely) remember that much! Maybe you did the same? 😄

Yes, but to be fair it was only 9 years ago!

We went to Riviera Maya in Mexico. It was one of the best holidays I’ve ever had…so much so, we went back for our first anniversary. I could tell you the hotel, the tour operator, the things we upgraded, the names of the restaurants in the hotel, the excursions we did etc. I really did love it!

Egypt. 1995. DH tried to swap me for a camel.
