Can you remember where you went on honeymoon?

Because I can't. Granted it was almost 20 years ago but I have no memory of where we stayed (but I know it was Cornwall). It's freaked me out a bit. Someone asked me about it and it seems to have been wiped from my memory...

I went touring round different places in Kenya after spending the weekend in London 24 years ago and remember everything. Elephants charging over the hill, close up to a lion eating it’s kill, walking over a pit filled with crocodiles, monkeys raiding the hotel terrace and the waiters chasing them, riots in Nairobi a few days after we left and were in Mombassa , peeing behind a bush wondering if I was going to be killed by a wild animal, learning to windsurf, a man killing a snake with a bow and arrow in hotel reception in a remote camp place we were in, they had been walking us to and from our huts with aforementioned bows and arrows and I had wondered why. It was slightly too exciting at times.

I had wanted to go hill walking in the Lake District.

Sorrento with day trips to Naples, Ischia, Capri, Vesuvius, Amalfi, Positano and several other places.

The hotel was grim so we switched from the evening meal to them giving us packed lunches instead so we could eat out in the evening. I still remember the absolutely sublime chocolate profiteroles filled with lemon mousse we had one night.

Yes I guess I do remember it - 39 years ago!

Remember it like yesterday (2008).

Got married in Vegas then tootled onto California, absolute hoot, brilliant time great experience. Wouldn’t go to Vegas again though, once is enough and with today’s exchange rate very expensive.

Didn’t have a honeymoon. We spent the money on a puppy instead

Well yes (Kenya) but come to think about it I wouldn’t be able to name where we stayed. It was 12 years ago.

Surely no one would forget where they went on Honeymoon? I have been married 29 years and can remember, most holidays. We went to Dom Rep early 90’s.

We had 4 days in a country house hotel nr Polperro ( Cornwall) , not sure it’s still open as it was 35 yrs ago . We could only have 4 days due to issues with looking after my horses .

No where. We were married with a 2 year old, and we haven’t got anyone who would take child a few nights to look after him. No one did on day or night of wedding either.

Crainlarich, Scotland for a week. 1989.

We did the Italian Riviera. Stayed in Sestri Levante and went to Portofino, Santa Margherita and then the Cinque Terre.

We’ve been back loads of times, it’s absolutely beautiful.

Amalfi coast in July. It was +42 degrees but as it we were young, dumb and it was our first ever big international trip we did ALL the sights and ALL the walks. Truly unforgettable experience 😂

2002. Belize. Brilliant.

Malaysia couldn't tell you all the places we went but included KL and Kuching and a few other places. Loved it.

Portugal, Montechoro Hotel (when it was nice - it was shit last time we looked and right at the top of the bloody strip that wasn't there when we were!) - 30+ years ago!

I remember where we went, and where we stayed, but I don't remember that much apart from that.

I've got a rubbish memory though.

Yep 21 years ago in a few weeks. Kenya, week on safari and a week diving. It was amazing. Never to be forgotten

Castelmola near Taormina in Sicily, nearly 21 years ago. It was beautiful!

We had a wonderful fortnight in Greece, 1980

New York, Washington and Miami - 20 years ago

Paris 1974 we went by hovercraft!

32 years ago , a village near Bognor Regis.

First honeymoon flew to Paris then travelled through France and Italy by train. Second one in 2020 was a lockdown for all of November 🤣
