It was inevitable but in this I feel very sorry for his siblings and daughters.

OP posts:
HouseOfGuineas · 12/09/2022 20:41

Agree with many of the posts already; he is vile but is also permitted to mourn. It just so happens given who his mother was many aspects of that are very public.

Perhaps they should have found a way for him not to be there, which is harsh but consequences are what you get for being an abuser. Still a lot of COVID about and he may have needed to isolate for a few days instead….

I understood Charles and Wills were zero tolerance on him. behaviour but also wanting to trim down working Royals. I don’t think there is any coming back after this for him.

vera99 · 12/09/2022 20:41

Since when has twattery been a criminal offence? Chilling.

PerfectlyPreservedQuagaarWarrior · 12/09/2022 20:41

This isn’t freedom of speech, it’s twattery of the highest order.

It doesn't stop being freedom of speech because you don't like it. Speaking of misinformation. It's not only people who agree with you who are allowed to say things.

I have only just watched it due to comments on here. I was expecting to watch it and think people were exaggerating because they hate him. But it’s actually really bad. Is it possible he’s worse than we all think? I don’t want to think about it.

Exactly
My sister told me about the video and I honestly thought that she was exaggerating.
When I saw the video I was horrified. Definitely worse than I expected
Andrew is just vile.

WillPowerLite · 12/09/2022 20:43

The man who heckled was rightfully arrested. This isn’t freedom of speech, it’s twattery of the highest order.

Wow. Facist Britain here we come.

You may be willing to sign over your right to free speech, but I hope most of us aren't. You do realise that defending free speech is about defending it even when you think it's the wrong time and place, even when you think it's disrespectful?

If no one disagreed with the timing and content of a protest, there would be no need for one.

Vanderpump · 12/09/2022 20:44

Where is the hysterical information? We don't know who he else he slept with, what we do know is that he spent a lot of time with a known sex trafficker

GhostFromTheOtherSide · 12/09/2022 20:44

Sporty2022 · 12/09/2022 20:44

Did Andrew and the other royals here what was shouted out to him ??

WillPowerLite · 12/09/2022 20:44

*fascist

JaneAustensHeroine · 12/09/2022 20:44

Every time we see Andrew in public, it is the Royal Family’s PR team doing a ‘temperature check’ to see if and when he can be visible again. They think the public will be sympathetic because he is mourning the loss of his mother and they are right. The public have been. If there was no protest I have no doubt we would be seeing more of Andrew in the coming years. A drip, drip, drip approach so it creeps up on us without us realising.

PR advisers run the Royal Family. And Andrew will have his very own team around him working to raise his reputation.

MadeWithCare · 12/09/2022 20:44

GhostFromTheOtherSide · 12/09/2022 20:39

vile thread full of hysterical misinformation.

Contrary to those wishing to rewrite history and with seemingly no grasp of definition, he is not a paedophile. He slept with a 17 year old girl, and however distasteful we find that, it is not in the same league as paedophilia.

Secondly, his mother has died. Regardless of what people think, he has the right to grieve his mother, and his family have the right to all be together at this point.

The man who heckled was rightfully arrested. This isn’t freedom of speech, it’s twattery of the highest order.

Andrew has for the most part stepped out of the public eye. But he is the queen’s son and has the right to be with his mother’s procession in public.

Gosh if Twattery is an arrestible offence, where do I send my reports?

Do you not see that what you've said there proves everyone else point?. The man may have been wrong to disrupt the procession (personally, I accept people's right to hold that view, but I'd prefer that powerful men exploiting the victims of sex trafficking were called out) but what was illegal about it?

Sporty2022 · 12/09/2022 20:44

People have called him a paedophile.

A paedophile is someone who is sexually attracted to prepubescent children.

So yes, it is misinformation and likely defamation to refer to Andrew as a paedophile.

No one is questioning his right to grieve , they are questioning his need to be paraded so publicly

Free speech is also a right

Urghhh yuck!
The 17 teen year old had been trafficked. It would've been wrong whatever her bloody age! That she was so young makes it doubly wrong (in my eyes at least), but he isn't off the hook just because she was over the age of consent! And which brings me back to.....trafficked. No consent!

Does he know that and thought taking the opportunity to publically grope his DD would be a winner? 😆

The protester didn't call A. a paedophile.

You might want to look up what the man who heckled, the person you were referring to there, actually said.

Vanderpump · 12/09/2022 20:49

I'm sure Andrew will defend his name on court...oh wait, that won't happen as he refused to engage with the American authorities and he paid his his victim who was brave enough to challenge him

IdiotCreatures · 12/09/2022 17:42

I'll just wait until I see him in my local Tesco, shall I?
Man should be sent to a dessert island with enough supplies to last him two weeks and a basic survival guide.
Not paraded around as if his birth means he's special.

Exactly. That was the time and place. He'll be straight back to his ivory tower after this - and if he was in any doubt about rehabilitation of his image that takes care of that.

I think so . He was very clear .
Someone put up a video taken from
a high window above the street and he could be clearly heard.

Although I don't think it matters whether Andrew heard or not .
That young man's message was for society as a whole I feel .

Yep, but that's clearly not what the poster was referring to because it followed on from the sentence about the protester. Had she been referring to the posters on here, it wouldn't have been written there.

Free speech doesn't extend to verbally abusing individuals (regardless of what you think of them) in public though. If someone was shouting and harassing you in the street, you'd rightfully expect the police to do something about it.

roolz · 12/09/2022 20:51

Let's not forget Jimmy Savile was a favourite of the Royals too - but keep on boot-licking 🙄

Plenty of people were oblivious to Jimmy saville hence why he was on telly the whole time.

Re Andrew, he's a total sleaze and perv. I still think that heckler was a right idiot to disrupt the procession because it didn't just upset Andrew in isolation. Other people were there, it's disrespectful to the queen, and to other family members, not appropriate.
