It was inevitable but in this I feel very sorry for his siblings and daughters.

For the Royal Family, their annus horribilus is just beginning.

Andrew seems to be enjoying being back in the public eye. Makes me feel sick to see him.

Yes, I agree. It's one thing to be "there" but he seems to be going out of his way to be extra visible.

As an aside, we are always saying that the only way to fight VAWG is if men step up too and condemn shit behaviour. This young lad did exactly that - he should be applauded!

If you look on Twitter , it's trending.

There is a short video of Rory , hand cuffed and flanked by two policemen

Rory ' powerful men should not be allowed to commit sexual crimes and get away with it '

gnilliwdog · 12/09/2022 20:04

Maybe the royal advisers thought this would be a good opportunity to see if Andrew will be acceptable in public. His family obviously know what he is like, but they must have taken advice and thought it was a good idea. They seem to have underestimated the public indignation. Andrew seems to have been completely unaware there was any sort of problem, at least not to the extent of being very careful of his behaviour.

Andrew may be a national embarrassment, but I think you've got to be an even bigger tosser to heckle a funeral.

A bigger tosser than a rapist?

I'm honestly wondering if it is underestimation or if it might be about letting him provide a reason for Charles to sideline him. Only because there's been talk of Charles being pissed off with him and with mummy's support of him.

This is a bloke and his advisors who thought the Pizza Express/I don't sweat/Epstein behaved in a way that was unbecoming interview was a good idea, so who knows really!

I'm so sorry for your loss

I wonder if the family made the decision for him to be there though. If they did, I do agree, it shows contempt for the public and I would be more inclined to think ‘what did you expect’. But maybe they didn’t get a choice but to have him there. I don’t know. Who would have been able to say no?

Maybe whoever made this decision, will learn from this incident, realise the public don’t want him and will change future arrangements rather than risk it happening again? I’m probably way too hopeful.

I wish he’d just disappear.

Alltheholidays · 12/09/2022 20:07

Good. Andrew is a vile piece of shit. He should be in prison.

Well if not the king who then 😜

KitBumbleB · 12/09/2022 20:08

"not the time or place"

There should be no wrong "time or place" for women and girls, we should be free to live our lives without sexual predators grooming, abusing, or trafficking us.

He had every option to keep out of the limelight but is an arrogant shit and wanted to be part of the pomp.

FurAndFeathers · 12/09/2022 20:11

Brideandpredjudice · 12/09/2022 17:58

Disgusting behaviour. Although I believe he is innocent.

You think the man who regularly stayed with two convicted sex traffickers/child abusers and is photographed with underage girls did nothing?

what was his motivation then?

ThickCutSteakChips · 12/09/2022 20:11

If Andrew has a shred of decency he will now step back, not take part in any more public parts of this process. Otherwise he risks being responsible for completely ruining his mother's funeral and hurting his family even further. There will surely only be more heckles now and it would just be awful for everyone else.

Yes, it would be shit to not be able to take part in your Mum's funeral fully, but he should have thought of that before he conducted himself like such a cunt.

WillPowerLite · 12/09/2022 20:12

maddy68 · 12/09/2022 19:58

Heckling a funeral procession is disgusting

But not nearly as disgusting as

  1. Having sex with a trafficked 17-year-old girl and hanging out with Epstein.
  1. Stifling mild public protest with heavy-handed policing, which tramples all over free speech.

One protester out of all those thousands is hardly going to prove they were wrong to have him there. It rather validates the decision if anything, although the crowd would have been mostly made up of Royal "fans".

anon666 · 12/09/2022 20:16

He is a creepy old man. Just because he has avoided justice by paying it off doesn't mean he is OK.

It's not the one protester amongst the self-selecting crowd, though. It's the wider impact, and the fact that the protesters actions have again drawn millions of people's actions to the fact that a senior member of the royal family was balls deep in Epstein's web. Unless whoever made the decision actually wanted this to happen, in a give him enough rope to hang himself way, this is a terrible outcome for them.

The queen will never know so shoot me but I'm glad the RF are reminded that the public will not be ordered to forget for their convenience.
And Andrew is capable of such self denial that I'm glad he is reminded that we see him.

cherrysthename · 12/09/2022 20:17

I thought Charles was going to cut off the creep? I thought he was only lingering around for the queen's sake as he was her favourite. She's dead now. Why has the creep been given so many public things to do in the aftermath. Why must viewers have to endure a sex offender toodling about and waving at members of the public??

And Prince Andrew hanging out with a known sex trafficker isn't?

ParkheadParadise · 12/09/2022 20:20

I hope he keeps popping up in public, giving interviews 🤣🤣🤣
Then the rest of the fucked up family might have to fuck off with him and it will be the end of them all.

Sparklythings1 · 12/09/2022 20:20

I do agree with those saying there’s a time and a place but also agreed with something I saw on Twitter saying there’s no wrong place to call out a pedophile and I’d say that’s got to be true 🙈 It’s disrespectful but it has only come to this because it’s been swept under the carpet for so long that someone has seen an opportunity today and taken it sadly
