I'd curtsey to the queen. I once sort of bobbed to Princess Anne. I think. She was very nice. Lovely skin.

She's worked so hard all her life, often putting the country before her family. I think we've been so lucky to have her.

I doubt they'd select a picture of the curtsey (or bow, if that was her preferred gesture) as I can't think of a previous time when the official picture of the formal meeting to confer the office of Prime Minister has shown the new incumbent bowing/curtseying

The Queen looks increasingly very frail. I shall be sad when she goes - but am not really sure if that's to do with her or just because I think of her reign and all the people I've known whose Queen she has been. Great grandparents, grandparents, parents who have never know anyone else. Her passing will make me think of those I have lost and the passing of time and memories. I think that's why.

I was surprised they made the new PM go almost the way to Balmoral, it doesn't seem like great use of time. If the queen isn't well enough to travel, they could surely have made it work some other way?

They weren't on the train or queuing in Heathrow with the plebs. She will have been making calls / finalising cabinet appointments etc. A bit of breathing space might have been quite welcome.

Boris and Carrie could have done a zoom call maybe.

@CaramelTwirl I think she's worked hard, it's only when she got into her 90s that she slowed down. She's done a great job and is held in high esteem around the world.

Liz is looking old now isn't she? Seemed invincible at one point but time has taken it's toll.

The Queen doesn't look too clever either.
