Short thread by Sam Freedman. Schools will end up limiting heating. They'll have to cut costs elsewhere as well. It's not like they were awash with cash anyway.

A Top Tory's Wikipedia page has been edited - apparently from within Parliament - to remove all mention of the Owen Paterson scandal.
The changes were made to Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng's profile, scrubbing from it any mention of him being an outspoken supporter of Mr Paterson - the Tory MP who quit after breaking lobbying rules.

I'd quite forgotten that Kwarteng had had a go at Kathryn Stone (Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards) over Patterson.

That's disgraceful and disgusting behaviour. What a lot this tells us about KK: he's clearly an unprincipled bully and therefore also a coward. The opposite of good leadership qualities.

I do hope whoever discovered that has kindly re-edited the wikipedia page to make sure the facts are fully stated.

She's posted a huge rant on her FB page about how the government didn't vote to dump raw sewage into the rivers and seas and she certainly never voted that way and wouldn't.

Given the woman's actual voting record it's certainly not something she should be proud of or drawing attention to imo!

I think it's panic. 5% rise in turnout at local elections this year and her percentage of vote dropped 9%.

Obviously nothing to do with the fact she swans around coffee and cake shops posting it all over FB and will actually go no where near the real problem areas of deprivation around here or respond to anyone to who lives at an address she doesn't deem important enough.

I really really want to comment but because of my job we aren't allowed to and have to be very careful what we post on SM.

But if anyone here would like to visit her page and write a comment like "your actual voting record is nothing to be proud of" then I'll send them a large cake as thanks to her I know exactly where to buy a decent one 🙄🤣 x

I'm impressed with many of the challenges. Especially one the first where someone said the issue may not be you voted for it but you did vote against having laws to prevent it.
