Stupid, inspiring, funny .... what ever it was, what is your most memorable comment on MN.

Mine was a poster who said her grandma once told her the secret to a successful marriage is "don't both fall out of love at the same time"

☝️ has stuck with me

Yes to snapped and farted.

So random, so funny.

Popsicle33 · 21/07/2022 23:40

The expectation v reality clothes one was hysterical. One woman fancied herself in a floaty summer dress but the reality was Joyce Barnaby. That thread was gold!

Popsicle33 · 21/07/2022 23:40

The screaming at the Sistine Chapel was epic too 😂

I enjoy the ones with a minor complaint about the OH such as "he doesn't like blue milk and prefers green milk" and there are 50 angry messages saying LTB 😂

My favourites are the ones that go: “DH really pissed me off tonight because he was laughing at a comedy show, so I called him a cunt, threw my coffee at him, kicked him in the bollocks, slashed his tyres and then the arsehole PUSHED PASSED ME in a really aggressive way and now I’m shaking”. Cue scores of “Wow OP, you do realise you’re being abused, right? Is he normally that hot headed?” Hmm

DollyDan · 21/07/2022 23:40

The lady who was in a doctors waiting room with her son and went to call him a Winey tinker but actually called him a tiny wanker makes me laugh every time I think about it!

tensmummy · 21/07/2022 23:41

And woof to you too madam

I have to find a use for that! 🤣

The one that sticks in my mind for being the funniest thing I've ever read was the woman who wouldn't leave her washing pegged out overnight in case it got "darked on".

And didn’t someone else think that if you leave your washing out overnight, “spiders will rub their willies on them”.

That was the one, yep! "Do spiders have willies?".

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 21/07/2022 23:42

My all time favourite was about fashion disasters (I think that's in classics too)

The poster who bought a leather jacket and looked like Suzi Quattros fat Nan 😂😂😂

Same thread the poster who had cropped red hair and realised she looked like a fat match!

There's some absolute belters in that thread.

SpaghettiSquash · 21/07/2022 23:42

There was a great quote on a thread yesterday. A poster wanted to know how to explain to her dentist that her chipped tooth needed repairing as it had caused her husband's penis to bleed. One of th3 replies was

If you're embarrassed to say it scratched your husband's penis, could you say it was some bloke at the bus stop?

DottyLittleRainbow · 21/07/2022 23:44

Penis beaker 😂

Squiff70 · 21/07/2022 23:46

On a thread about how much the OP hated her inlaws (I think) added "even the dog's a cunt".

Popsicle33 · 21/07/2022 23:47

There was a really hilarious thread about embarrassing moments where every post was a hoot. In particular the woman who got a smear test just as her phone made the eBay 'kerching' noise 😂

Walk a mile in my pubes, Sister.

On a thread about excessive body hair. Still makes me laugh.

tensmummy · 21/07/2022 23:49

I think the darked/spiders willies one was a case of "you had to be there"

dreamingbohemian · 21/07/2022 23:49

< creepy wee brackets >

the frothers

When a zombie thread outed the perfect posh central London mum as a totally lying nanny who didn't even have kids

I remember that, it was to shut a colleague up wasn't it 😂

That was so bizarre. Especially when she couldn't understand why everyone was so taken aback. She seemed to think it was normal behaviour 😂

Chattycathydoll · 21/07/2022 23:53

T-rexing in Asda, anyone?

Squiff70 · 21/07/2022 23:55

Oh yes, the foxes one still makes me cry laughing every time I think about it. As I recall, the OP was complaining that it sounded like people were having sex in her bush/hedge. One person innocently remarked it could be foxes and the OP replied words to the effect of "well, it could be but I don't think foxes ask for a finger up the bum".

Diverseopinions · 21/07/2022 23:56

There was a thread about toddler tantrums, and one mum posting to say her little boy had been rolling around, dramatically, on the floor and inconsolable, and had at last being able to express that he was upset because 'he wasn't a cat'!. Another mum wrote about her nephew, I think, wanting the new baby not to be held by auntie or mother, and adults had asked, impatiently, "Where d'you want her to be?" and he'd replied: "On the rug, on her own self". Very sweet!

HeArInGhandsgirl11 · 21/07/2022 23:57

@DottyLittleRainbow

You beat me to it with the penis beaker. If I recall rightly didn't she think the penis washing pot was an entirely normal thing to do, and was totally bemused that others don't ensure their DHs had a clean penis for sex?

Disturbingly it was for washing AFTER sex, not before it!
