Payment from government

Has anyone received the £365 payment from the government this morning? They said it was from 14th July but just wondering if anyone got it today.

OP posts:

lalalala

Just because you haven't received it today doesn't mean you are not eligible.
The dates for payment are between 14th July and 31st July unless you are on tax credits.

If you had a live UC claim in May then you are eligible.

CornishTiger · 14/07/2022 17:59

@monicagellerbing no need to be so rude to @BarbaraofSeville .

Please don’t contact UC about the payment. They are overwhelmed with enquiries and can’t tell you. Haven’t had extra guidance and they aren’t the ones paying it.

Even I don’t know when I’m getting our payment. It’s any time between now and end of July. Don’t include it in budgeting if immediately needed.

CornishTiger · 14/07/2022 18:01

Also it’s not paid in with your UC or related to your UC payment.

Gingerbeerfear · 15/07/2022 06:10

I receive UC and my payment has come in this morning

HerRoyalHappiness · 15/07/2022 06:11

I got my payment this morning. Spent it all straight away on school.unoforms.

Meklk · 15/07/2022 06:46

Please, if someone received, give more details - which benefit, which bank?

I believe it depends on bank too. I can't see any pending payments at Barclays, my husband see all of them on HSBC the day before, hmmmm

I'm on UC and pretty sure that I'm entitled, still didn't receive.

Nat6999 · 15/07/2022 06:53

I got mine yesterday but ds who is on UC hasn't got his yet, I'm on ESA. Very often they pay according to the last letter of your National Insurance number but I'm not sure with these grants.

ListenLinda · 15/07/2022 06:54

Mines in the bank this morning, I claim UC.

DeadButDelicious · 15/07/2022 07:33

We're on UC, received payments in both April and may (we get one every month) and bank with RBS, no sign yet. I can't see payments due to go in on my banking app so it's the waiting game for us.

@BarbaraofSeville do you live in the real world

What an incredibly rude comment to someone who was literally just offering advice.

Namechanger1002 · 14/07/2022 07:03

Do you get it if you are still
on tax credits?

If you received a tex credits payment between April and May this year at an annual award of £26+ you are entitled.

But tax credits payments are last to be made and won't be until autumn 2022 with second payment in winter (they haven't released the second qualifying period yet)

PinkButtercups · 15/07/2022 08:17

From what I gather, I keep seeing a lot of people say if you had the extra payment in April/May then you will get it.

For people on UC who didn't get the extra payment doesn't automatically make you not eligible. From reading on the gov website it's only if you had a 'nil award' between April/May meaning those months or one of those months you were awarded £0 for your UC. So, you should still be eligible if you had a live claim in those months with UC paying money into your account.

What was the extra payment in April or may?

No sign of it here still UC and not on a Monday either as my bank shows pending payments.

PinkButtercups · 15/07/2022 08:29

@LoveBugBride I'm not sure. I've just seen it on here that there was extra payments made then.

monicagellerbing · 14/07/2022 07:21

I don't think I'm going to get it, my husband got a small bonus from work in May and my UC award for that month was £0 because of it.

How much was the bonus OP?

worriedatthistime · 15/07/2022 08:51

@IncompleteSenten out council managed just fine to pay all those on dd , we had ours in may
Those who don't pay by dd had to fill a form in though and some barely pay ctax if on benefits so putting &150 off there bill wouldn't of help
Seems some councils are just dragging their heels

SBParker99 · 15/07/2022 09:23

those on UC who have had it, what’s your assessment period? wondering if there doing it by that

Nizathe · 15/07/2022 09:44

You didn't need to pay council tax to get the £150 rebate a couple of months ago. Even if you have a council tax reduction that means you pay £0 in CT, you were given £150 in cash from the post office with a letter or bank transfer.

Nizathe · 15/07/2022 09:47

Does anyone know what happens with the £400 off your energy bill, if you top up your meter with a card? I have an electricity card and an app of my phone, a bit like an old "key" I suppose? Linked to my electricity box. I use the app and can top-up however much I like. I don't get an electricity bill, once it's gone it's gone, and I don't pay a direct debit.

L1ttledrummergirl

Do you mean the council tax payment of £150?

Yes. Although I was just coming here to say that it dropped into my account yesterday!

It's not paid by UC, it's paid by DWP and HMRC which is a subtle difference.

Nothing to do with assessment periods or NINO or anything, the period for the payment is from 14th - 31st July, the time to question a payment would be on 1st August if you haven't got anything by then.

DWP and HMRC are using a computer program to identify those eligible to receive the payment.

For the record, I'm on UC (and also work for DWP) and I haven't got mine yet

DeadButDelicious · 18/07/2022 08:03

Still nothing as of this morning. On UC, bank with RBS.

Meklk · 18/07/2022 08:30

Nothing
I'm on UC, Barclays

Allthegoodnamesaregoneffs · 18/07/2022 08:35

Mine is showing as pending for tomorrow. Still have 13 more days to make the payments to everyone entitled
