Has anyone received the £365 payment from the government this morning? They said it was from 14th July but just wondering if anyone got it today.

No date for tax credits it just states from August.

simplytedd · 14/07/2022 08:12

Another friend on UC had no payment today either.
Looks like most UC haven't received it yet

InglouriousBasterd · 14/07/2022 08:14

Thank you CrossStitch!

monicagellerbing · 14/07/2022 08:31

@Preeeettyprettygood it says if you have a nil payment but you have deductions such as that for rent then may still be eligible. I hope that's true as my award that month was £0 due to a small bonus my DH got. It's caused more trouble than it was worth the bonus.

I work part time (single parent/disabled child) and I receive uc top up. I haven't received my payment yet either.

L1ttledrummergirl · 14/07/2022 09:08

I still haven't had the first £150 we should have received in April so not holding my breath on this.
We get tax credits so may get something in the Autumn.

ListenLinda · 14/07/2022 09:23

A few facebook groups im on show the vast majority who claim UC did not get it today.

I read somewhere that people on tax credits will get their first payment in the autumn and second in the winter. Don't quote me on that though Smile

Thank you - I read that on the gov.uk website too.

Do you get it if you are still
on tax credits?

Tax Credits
£326 From autumn 2022

£324 From winter 2022

If only recieving and not other benefits you get it later in the year.

L1ttledrummergirl

Do you mean the council tax payment of £150?

monicagellerbing · 14/07/2022 06:40

I didn't get it either. I'm on UC. I'm worried I won't get it now. Is it for anyone on UC no matter your total income?

Yes its for anyone on UC working or not .
As long as its an already open ongoing claim of course .

I’m on tax credits and didn’t realise it wasn’t until autumn - does anyone have any idea if that’s September or November?!

Me neither, how wildly annoying.

Plinkyplankyplonk · 14/07/2022 09:50

I got mine today, im still on legacy benefits.

Unicornspirit · 14/07/2022 10:01

I literally made my claim on 25th may. I swapped from TC. Do you think I fall into that assessment period 26/4 to 25/5?
I have been awarded and my first assessment period was 25/5 to 24/6.
I'm a bit confused.

Iced · 14/07/2022 10:02

U/C and not had mine today

h78 · 14/07/2022 10:47

I've just checked the gov website and I'm confused. Is it for only for those claiming working tax credits or if you get child tax credits? We only get child tax credits, not eligible for working tax credits since I started working last year.

ListenLinda · 14/07/2022 10:52

You will get it if you get child tax credits

h78 · 14/07/2022 10:54

Do you pay your council tax by DD?

sobeyondthehills · 14/07/2022 11:11

Got my ESA today, but nothing else, just got to wait I guess

I think it depends on which esa you get if it's contribution based then you don't get it only if it's income based esa same as jsa

The council tax £150 was ridiculous. It must have cost an absolute fortune to set up. I still haven't had mine. I just do a bank transfer every month. Apparently we'll be getting post office vouchers at some point.
The council said they had to get new software and all sorts.

Imagine how many millions it has cost country wide!

God knows why the government didn't just give the council's the money and say stick £150 on every eligible households account. That would have been straightforward and inexpensive.

People whose CT is paid fully by ct benefit could ask for a refund.

I shudder to think how much money has been and is yet to be wasted that could have better helped people if managed more effectively.
