Has anyone received the £365 payment from the government this morning? They said it was from 14th July but just wondering if anyone got it today.

From what I understand you get it when you actually receive you uc payments normally. So if you get it in the 14th of the month that’s when it goes in….if you usually get it in the 20th of the month that’s when it goes in etc
I get mine uc payments on the 13th of the month so I’ll be one of the last 😂

HappyandYouKnowitClapYourHands · 14/07/2022 07:19

Everyone on on UC will get it as long as it’s not a £0 award they got in April and May.

Surprised so many people were expecting the payment today when it could be paid at any point over the next two weeks.

Those receiving disability benefits for themselves or their child can expect an additional cost of living payment of £150 in September so I believe.

sorry just googled and answered my own question. so she got it today.

That’s the cost of living payment which we are talking about, there’s also an extra £150 for certain people.

monicagellerbing · 14/07/2022 07:20

Yes that's it @Samcro

My guess is that everyone on universal credit will get it paid later as it's harder to confirm who gets it as it depends on if you got a payment on April or may to get it so they will have to go through every individual case as with esa, jsa and income support they get the same amount every month

monicagellerbing · 14/07/2022 07:21

I don't think I'm going to get it, my husband got a small bonus from work in May and my UC award for that month was £0 because of it.

I’m not sure this is right as everyone should be paid the additional amount by the end of July. So that doesn’t work for those who are normally paid UC in the first half of the month.

ListenLinda · 14/07/2022 07:21

@Rooroobear the payment is to be paid by the 31st of July so you will recieve it before your next UC payment.

This should help to check eligibility?

Do you get it if you are still
on tax credits?

I read somewhere that people on tax credits will get their first payment in the autumn and second in the winter. Don't quote me on that though Smile

MrsBobo · 14/07/2022 07:38

Has anyone received if yet that is on UC?

monicagellerbing · 14/07/2022 07:40

@HappyandYouKnowitClapYourHands thank you. I get my rent taken off my award so maybe I'll still be eligible then... who knows!

TheRain

Yes those on tax credits will begin to get their payments from August onwards.
This is to ensure that those on tax credits and for example ESA don't get the payment twice. So those on ESA IS JSA and UC will be paid first and then those who just claim tax credits will be paid after.

ListenLinda · 14/07/2022 07:43

I dont think there is any rhyme or reason to who has received payments today and who hasn’t. It seems like a real mix of benefit types.

LoveBugBride · 14/07/2022 07:46

Nothing here, I work full time but get a top up. My sister is a single un working parent so nil income and she hasn't got hers either so it's nothing to do with income on UC.

Mostly seems like legacy benefits have been paid first then UC will follow.

MrsBobo · 14/07/2022 07:38

On a Facebook group I'm in I've seen posts from people on UC who've had it but obvioulsy I don't know anything about the circumstance

Seems that with so many people getting it it would be expected that some UC claimants would have had it today

Furrybutts · 14/07/2022 07:49

I got mine this morning too.
My friend was notified he would get his today, I only knew when I logged onto online banking earlier.

simplytedd · 14/07/2022 07:53

I'm on UC and had no payment
My friend on ESA received hers.
Hopefully will be done soon

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 14/07/2022 07:55

I'm wondering if it will go in with my uc on the 24th. I only got the council tax one last week though.

SBParker99 · 14/07/2022 07:56

my mother in law had hers today on income support i’m on UC and had nothing

orbitalcrisis · 14/07/2022 08:02

My UC was paid on the 13th so I didn't get it, I assume it will be with next month's payment.

BooseysMom · 14/07/2022 08:03

FSM for summer holidays has been halved by our council (£60 to £30). They must be clawing back money somewhere to pay these cost of living payments

Preeeettyprettygood · 14/07/2022 08:04

If you have had a nil award due to earnings between the April and May dates, you are unlikely to get it.
You can now look at your online statement for that assessment period and it'll give you a little bit more info under your award.
Hope that helps

I work and I'm on UC, I do get some money from UC though after my take home pay has been deducted, I haven't received my payment yet but know this will be by the end of July

InglouriousBasterd · 14/07/2022 08:07

I’m on tax credits and didn’t realise it wasn’t until autumn - does anyone have any idea if that’s September or November?!
