Why isn’t he just kicked out 🙄?

Whats he complaining about now, he is awful.

HelloSpringIveMissedYou · 10/07/2022 16:10

I'm not watching the tennis purely as he's playing, he's such a knob!

RunningFromInsanity · 10/07/2022 16:10

Agree. He gets away with so much, on and off court.
God hope he doesn’t win.

Questionaboutjoboffer · 10/07/2022 16:11

Anything and everything - shouting and the umpire, shouting at people in the audience. He comes across as abusive - why is it laughed off?

OP posts:
Questionaboutjoboffer · 10/07/2022 16:12

at the umpire

I can't hear what he's complaining about, just repeated ranting. Surely he can work out that he's wasting precious energy, to say nothing of attention on the job in hand.

I really hope he doesn’t win as well!

Highly paid media coverage from all around the world. Wimbledon don't want to jeopardise any of their income stream.

Justwingingit2005 · 10/07/2022 16:13

I heard him say someone was drunk in the crowd and she's shouting things out.

uhtredbebbanburg · 10/07/2022 16:14

Ugh yes. I'm actively routing for Djokovic now because of Kyrgios behaviour. My 11 year old DD plays tennis and she had to play a boy who was acting like Kyrgios (she won!) and there were official complaints about his behaviour. Doesn't this dick know that young players are watching and possibly looking up to his behaviour?

Questionaboutjoboffer · 10/07/2022 16:15

Eye opening the fact that people accept how he is - commentators giggling when he said that the woman who was apparently distracting him earlier was the one who looked as if she had had 700 drinks.

ILIWYS · 10/07/2022 16:16

Just said the same thing. Utterly childish, inappropriate and unprofessional behaviour. Surely he should just be banned after this?

WobblyLondoner · 10/07/2022 16:17

In any other context you'd call an ambulance or the police wouldn't you. I feel very sorry for the umpire.

AuntieStella · 10/07/2022 16:18

I don't know how bad a player's behaviour has to be before they are in any way officially sanctioned for it.

Anyone know the discipline code for Wimbledon?

Tennis

As he has now been charged with DV offences in Australia, I would like to see him suspended from the professional game until conclusion of legal action (just as I would for anyone charged with an offence that is serious enough to carry a custodial sentence)

LaurieFairyCake · 10/07/2022 16:19

This is a thrilling final

I can't even imagine how annoyed I would be if some drunk person called out between my serves - when I'm playing in a grand slam against someone who's never beaten me

He's furious - and venting

But they're both playing incredible tennis

RoseAndRose · 10/07/2022 16:20

John McEnroe was once disqualified from a tournament because of conduct. It's rarely used, perhaps it should be more often.

dropthevipers · 10/07/2022 16:22

Think he is properly mentally ill.

Peterbear · 10/07/2022 16:26

Would we be so tolerant if a female player was acting like such a knob? Erm......no.

Bestshapeever · 10/07/2022 16:28

I agree but I did laugh despite myself at the 700 drinks comment

skippy67 · 10/07/2022 16:28

dropthevipers · 10/07/2022 16:22

Think he is properly mentally ill.

He's self harmed in the past, and had a mental breakdown in 2019.

WishILivedInThrushGreen · 10/07/2022 16:30

For the first time, in years, we stopped watching the men's final.
Kyrgios annoyed us and we just couldn't care less who won but it became obvious.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 10/07/2022 16:32

What was he complaining to the umpire about? Not the woman in the crowd but he seemed to be complaining about the umpire himself?

Roselilly36 · 10/07/2022 16:32

I think there has been some kind of protest in the crowd that upset him, and then he claimed a drunk woman in the crowd, was shouting on his serve. But I agree, he directs his passion the right way.

TheFairyCaravan · 10/07/2022 16:32

He’s horrible.

I can’t understand why William and Kate have taken George there to see him swear his way through the match.

Roselilly36 · 10/07/2022 16:33

He needs to direct his passion the right way even 😂
