A few weeks ago there was a thread that was really funny. I literally couldn't move for laughing at one of the comments. Think it was something like "did you smash your tits on the keyboard and press send" most days since, this comment has popped into my mind and made me laugh so much.

So who ever posted that comment thanks so much 💐

What's the funniest thing you have ever read on MN?

OP posts:

The tray bake thread was brilliant. Even the title of it Presbyterian Tray Bake - What ?😂

SingingSands · 12/07/2022 14:00

Going back into the mists of MN history... there was a thread which had me laughing and snorting tears. The poster was in M&S and saw a dress that she wanted an opinion on from S&B. Her attempts to link to the dress were one hilarious failure after another. Basically pages of OP saying "this dress" and posters saying "I can't see the link" followed by "try this" "nope, hang on, try this" "ffs try this" "does this work?"

It was so funny and I don't think we ever did get to see the dress 😄

Wammawink · 12/07/2022 14:18

This is not as funny as most mentioned here but I think of it every time I get into a lift - it was one of those threads 'things you just realised' or something and one poster said something like she didn't know the buttons were used to control lifts she just randomly used to press the buttons and hope it opened and went to the right floor. Made me smile to myself in the Tesco lift the other day

HopeForTheBest · 12/07/2022 15:31

@bawsy There was one where the poster recalled her dad had to give a press conference on the civil liberty lobby, and he called it the civil liberty loberty throughout

I cannot breathe I am laughing so much.

Shewhojuggles · 12/07/2022 22:54

Oh my god I’ve been crying laughing at these classics but then I clicked on the mouse thread and I’m actually sobbing 😭 ❤️

heartbroken22 · 12/07/2022 23:34

A couple of years ago...when the mother of a teenage boy said something like she was sick and tired of chopping his logs (turd) with lolly sticks or something because they wouldn't flush and what to do.

Also mothers posting about finding their sons socks filled with....that they had used to wank. Made me laugh but then vomit. Thank god I have dd's.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 12/07/2022 23:44

The Civil Liberties Lobberty is "The Least Professional Moments of My Illustrious Career". It was an amazing thread, I laughed so much at it. It's peppered with deletions now though.

One that made me laugh very recently was the thread where the OP asked what being described as striking meant, and after a few posts about Angela Jolie etc, one poster just said "Big nose.".

Weesweetiewife · 17/07/2022 21:25

There was this thread about weird guys that we'd had sex with. Someone posted that her guy said 'there you go' when he came...

Oh me too. I loved this thread!!!

poorbuthappy · 18/07/2022 17:37

I always say the same thing on these threads. Olympic horses thread in chat so long gone. It was about whether horses were taken to the Olympics or if the riders had to just get allocated a local horse when they arrived. I actually cried.

LurpakAspirations · 18/07/2022 18:27

Is there a link to the Olympic horses thread or have I missed it?

sashh · 19/07/2022 08:07

I must have missed the Olympic horse thread but here are some useless facts.

Fed ex deliver the horses. They have special planes, or at least they re config the usual freight planes.

All the horses have an allocation of 'hoof luggage' kept near their stall and a vet is on board so the luggage might contain the horse equivalent of valium.

The pilots do a longer slower take of.

For the 1956 Melbourne Olympics the Equestrian event was held in Stockholm, Sweden in June, the main games were in November. This is because horses entering Australia had to go in to quarantine for 6 months.

A small number of countries did not compete in the Olympics, but had already competed in Sweden.

SavvyJenks · 19/07/2022 09:11

Absolutely the screamer in the Sistine chapel for me, I thought I was having an asthma attack.

Painted pigeon "is that you Paul?"

My all time favourite thread, I still crack up to this day.😁

RightOnTheEdge · 19/07/2022 16:27

The thread that made me proper Mutley laugh was the one where people told their most embarrassing moments.

There was a woman who sucked the dentist's finger and one where the dentist went to hold open the door for her and she hugged him. One of the first ones was a woman who'd taken her kids to the zoo and bought some animal heads on sticks. Her kids went to the toiket and they were taking too long so she put the animal heads over the top of the door and was saying something like
"Come on, hurry up! Other people are waiting"
And it wasn't her child.
I was actually crying reading that thread 🤣

Also the one where people posted the weirdest things men had said to them during sex. Hilarious and horrible at the same time! 😂

BlueSkyHammock · 10/08/2022 00:21

My favourite was a thread I can't even remember the point of but one poster wrote that she was laid on her side on the bed with her breasts lying next to her! It painted such a vivid picture! It was the first time I've actually laughed out loud at something on here.

knackeredagain · 10/08/2022 00:51

Whatever happened to ‘penetration man’?

PippaF2 · 11/04/2023 23:29

The poster who wrote - My colleague did (something annoying - I can't remember)- so I made owl noises 😂

That was funny.

cakewitch · 11/04/2023 23:43

The poster who bought a leather jacket and said it made her look like "Suzie Quatros fat nan"

Yep that was an amazing thread, but that particular description is basically timeless.

RenoDakota · 11/04/2023 23:55

Quite a few on the 'ick' posts. But especially the one where the bloke came clip-clopping down the street towards her like a horse.

RoxieLoxy · 12/04/2023 00:21

Snapped and farted - still makes me laugh 😃
