A few weeks ago there was a thread that was really funny. I literally couldn't move for laughing at one of the comments. Think it was something like "did you smash your tits on the keyboard and press send" most days since, this comment has popped into my mind and made me laugh so much.

So who ever posted that comment thanks so much 💐

What's the funniest thing you have ever read on MN?

OP posts:
SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 08/07/2022 12:32

Elderly Korean Lady, and TantrumsAndBalloons looking after her friend’s three-year-old are my two favourites.

EaglesFan81 · 08/07/2022 12:36

'Penis breath on girlfriend' had me laughing for ages!

TheEponymousGrub · 08/07/2022 12:37

Can't see if anyone has already suggested this one (9 pages!) but I recall a thread ... Hmm, this is complicated ... It started by discussing, and linking to, a blog where an (American?) lady described her plan for a homebirth - in her large carp tank. The OP had messaged the pregnant lady that she didn't think it was wise - carp being cold water fish, and fish pooing in the water etc. As the conversation on the blog developed, the OP was reporting back back to the MN thread. Other MNers began to contribute to the lady's blog too and her insistence on her plan was hilarious. She would add potassium permanganate to the water, never mind that it would turn her newborn purple. Carp were natural spiritual midwives...

My fave : T. rex 🦖
😂

3luckystars · 08/07/2022 12:41

The other funny one was when everyone was slagging Gregg Wallace and someone said they bet he smelled like that smell when you open a packet of ham. 😂

I still can’t find that thread ‘has anyone been to Van hoidunk’ it was just a typo but the answers were so so funny. It was years ago.

I forgot the woman who’d sent pizzas and a bunch of flowers into her daughter’s school to ‘make her feel special’ on her 16th birthday and got mad because the office didn’t send anyone to find her daughter and the pizzas went cold - plus, her daughter wasn’t allowed the flowers until the end of the day instead of being allowed to carry them around in her tote bag so that ‘everyone would see and she’d feel special all day’ 😆

Again, one of the funniest parts was one of the few posters defending her, who suggested this was why we were falling behind America and, bizarrely, why teenage boys from working class families do badly at school (?!)

I’ve been inspired to find this and re-read it - it’s even funnier than I remembered:

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 08/07/2022 12:47

I remember that @TheEponymousGrub!

And there was an actual blog by the OP which I’ve just found by googling to see if I could pull up the thread:

koibirth.blogspot.com/2011/06/frequently-asked-questions.html?m=1

We all thought it must be a super dedicated troll but I can’t remember how it ended.0

StupidUsernameUnavailable · 08/07/2022 12:48

I haven't read half of these threads but you have all made me cry at my desk with your comments and memories 🤣

The posing baby and tall man delivery guy are top so far 🤣🤣

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 08/07/2022 12:50

(Disclaimer: I’m looking again now and remembering properly and of course it was very, very obviously a light-hearted troll)

BashfulClam · 08/07/2022 12:53

Got to be ‘your minge’ I’m chuckling even thinking about it.

SatinHeart · 08/07/2022 12:59

Pacidove · 08/07/2022 12:31

This thread always has me crying

www.mumsnet.com/talk/baby_names/3124765-long-name-for-hugo

Hugofirst 😂

Thank you @Pacidove you have just made my lunch break . I hadn't seen this one before

SatinHeart · 08/07/2022 13:00

Also, don't think anyone's mentioned it yet - the one where the poster didn't know how to get rid of her old sex toys. The whole thread was funny but the one response that really sent me was "pop them in a jiffy bag and post them to Putin." This is now a standard response in my house to "where should I put X" 🤣

Can anyone find the link to this one? I really want to read it!

mashpot · 08/07/2022 13:11

LoonyIdea · 08/07/2022 00:38

The woman with her grizzly toddler in the doctors waiting room trying to call him a whiny tinker and ending up calling him a tiny wanker! Omg!

Still makes me laugh, thanks for reminding me!

ARatherAwkwardOuting · 08/07/2022 13:25

3luckystars Do you mean this one?

Geekynzmum · 08/07/2022 13:27

I haven't read the whole bag but the first one that popped to mind for me was boil in the bag vag ... 😂

justasking111 · 08/07/2022 13:30

The Korean lady is still there funny

ARatherAwkwardOuting · 08/07/2022 13:31

Squiff70 · 08/07/2022 13:37

Sooooo many, but two remain firmly in my memory and make me laugh every time I think of them.

The lady who wouldn't leave her washing pegged out overnight in case it got "darked on".

And the person who started a thread complaining about all the swearing on MN, to which the first reply was "Off you fuck then, cunty chops!".

SlouchingTowardsBethlehemAgain · 08/07/2022 13:40

I liked "jobby juice" on the sofa about the man who would not wear pants.
Also "strumming your flaps"
Also "who left the gate to the cunt farm open"

Sarah8719 · 08/07/2022 14:15

Ive just seen the screaming in the chapel one and woke my 2 year old and newborn up from their naps I was laughing that much 😂😂

thefamilyupstairs · 08/07/2022 14:19

There was a funny one about new first time parents where the dad insisted that his wife pour Johnsons baby bath in his eyes before they bathed the baby, just to check that it really was "no tears".

thefamilyupstairs · 08/07/2022 14:21

Not a thread, but a poster really made me laugh recently when she explained she needed a 3 bed in London because her hamster needs it's own bedroom.

Inthesameboatatmo · 08/07/2022 14:25

I can't remember the thread but the poster sucked the dentists finger. And the one about the changing bag and also the thread about the group in the woods having a séance

Inthesameboatatmo · 08/07/2022 14:26

Also how to bastard a monkfish

takeitandleaveit · 08/07/2022 14:29

It was a few years ago now, but someone was posting about her DH who had done something stupid and hurt himself, and she said that he was often doing things with wood in the shed, and it never ends well. Complete with stick-man diagram of enraged OP, and the DH including eye injury. Still makes me grin now.
