Anyone want a Cornetto ?

Love one. Ta

Notonthestairs · 06/07/2022 21:50

Its interesting that Johnson had to send out a fairly lowly spokesperson rather than a bigger name. Unless of course his other supporters don't want to go on camera...

You have to wonder seriously about whether he recovered from the Liaison Committee with a good go at the old Columbian Marching Powder.

It took him a relatively long time to huff out of the Committee room and then be taken round the corner into Number 10. By my reckoning he had time for a 15 minute toilet visit iykwim.

Well this is one long horror movie that is neverending !
Makes the exorcist look tame.
( maybe BJ needs a priest ?)

Wrongkindofovercoat · 06/07/2022 21:51

I don't know why but 'Gove' and 'snake' seem to be stirring long forgotton memories, something about a nickname ?

WaitroseWoman · 06/07/2022 21:51

jgw1 · 06/07/2022 21:49

The question really only remains which of those woman were mistakes and which were the big decisions he got right?

No matter, he will just 'draw a line under it' either way. sniffs

AmaryIlis · 06/07/2022 21:51

Really not a good idea making an enemy of Gove, who was heavily instrumental in getting Johnson into power in the first place. Gove won't actually care, in fact it will enhance his political credibility. And though I seriously loathe Gove, it has to be said he was one of the few reasonably competent Ministers in the government, and he certainly has his own loyal supporters.

powershowerforanhour · 06/07/2022 21:52

Oh the Boney M/ Rasputin suggestion is a really good one.

How about a big delegation of Cabinet ministers with ghetto blasters on their shoulders playing Ludacris' Move Bitch Get Out Da Way to Boris? Would that work?

Cornettoninja · 06/07/2022 21:52

Also the admission that Johnson met Lebedev with no security at the height of the Salisbury poisoning times is just astonishing. He's a Security Risk too

….and further evidence of his incredibly poor judgement and inability to take advice. Remember him boasting about shaking covid patients hands like a reincarnation of Princess Di. Then getting covid.

I’d love to know what the donor reactions are. The DM have already got jittery, he’s looking less and less appealing as a safe bet. Fucking the pound too.

You can't expect Boris and his staff to understand the electoral system, they don't even know what a party is.

Oh, that's not fair now is it?

That's what he got his fine for wasn't it.😀

Yes. Whenever have we heard from a PM's Private Secretary sent out to stick up for him.

At the moment, I dread what is going to happen. He has countless posts to fill and it won't be anyone who necessarily has experience or aptitude or the right person for the right job. It'll just be anyone who shows loyalty to him. It's very worrying.

It rings a bell.

More stuff about Johnson saying he had 14 million voted for him:-

The PM fights on' - No 10 source
We've been hearing from a No 10 source who has been talking about why the PM is staying on.
"There is no lectern outside No 10 tonight... the PM fights on," the source says.
Any suggestion there's a procession of cabinet ministers telling Johnson to go "is not true", the source adds.
"He has been spelling out to them [cabinet ministers] that 14 million people voted for him."
If the Conservative Party "want to deprive him [Johnson] doing that job, they have take to take that mandate off them", the source says.
The source adds that Johnson explained to cabinet ministers tonight that the options are not "Boris or no Boris".
Rather, the source goes on to say, it's about giving Johnson either a "fresh chancellor and new programme, that Rishi was not prepared to do" or "spend months ripping each other apart to elect a leader without a mandate - coalition of chaos and Labour who will break up Britain".

the80sweregreat · 06/07/2022 21:55

I had a sneaky wine earlier on
I'll drink more once he had finally gone ..
Could be a while at this rate though.

Danny Kruger Devizes MP now resigned.

the80sweregreat · 06/07/2022 21:56

Labour break up Britain ?
Words fail me to be honest !

AmaryIlis · 06/07/2022 21:56

He's obsessing about his imaginary 14 million mandate. Next thing we know, he will be calling on the 14 million to march on Parliament.

Lonelycrab · 06/07/2022 21:56

Are they blissfully unaware of who introduced an international border within the UK in recent years?
