He should drone some no-name ISIS bloke in the desert somewhere who's on a terrorist hit list and then put the video on tik-tok. BTW Iran has arrested the deputy UK ambassador on spying charges.

the80sweregreat · 06/07/2022 21:41

Does Gove have any friends there?
He could form an alliance, get the pitch forks out.

Ilikewinter · 06/07/2022 21:41

A Ballad For Wronged Tories:

At first we were afraid, we were petrified
Kept thinkin' we could never live without you by our side
But then we spent so many nights thinking how you did us wrong
And we grew strong
And we learned how to get along...

Go on now, go walk out the door
Just turn around now
'Cause you're not welcome anymore
Weren't you the one who tried to hurt us with your lies
Did you think we'd crumble
Did you think we'd lay down and die
Oh no not us, we will survive...

Hey, hey

Love this

SpinningForTheWorld · 06/07/2022 21:42

He needs to be sectioned / carted off to The Priory. How shameful for the UK that it has been allowed by the Conservatives to come to this.

Its a zero hours contract

CanaryShoulderedThorn · 06/07/2022 21:42

I hope Priti is fired too

Yes, Theresa May had the right idea about her.
Speaking of which, I hope she is enjoying watching the big buffoons downfall tonight.
I think misogyny had more than a small part to play in May's departure.

Statement from No10 on sacking Gove calls him ‘a snake’ - I’m sorry what? Since when did the office of government use language like that in official statements? This isn’t the fucking playground. It’s the sort of ‘statements’ Trump used to put out…

sorry @Rinoachicken you'd already said it, & better than me.

Yes, a very Trump-esque turn of phrase...

Also the admission that Johnson met Lebedev with no security at the height of the Salisbury poisoning times is just astonishing. He's a Security Risk too.

How can Johnson really not see how utterly pathetic he is?

He is not going tonight, is he?

No, sorry to say, but I will be surprised and disappointed - understatement - if BJ is still here by the recess, even by next week.

I expected him to cling on - small appendage syndrome - but he is going.

tocas · 06/07/2022 21:27

Is he quite well?

You have to wonder seriously about whether he recovered from the Liaison Committee with a good go at the old Columbian Marching Powder.

The PPS on Sky at the moment is grinning like this is all a game. Dangling tax cuts like that is going to get them out of trouble. "He's made mistakes" .
They are shockingly crap.

Am I right in thinking that Boris has now made mistakes and got all the big decisions right?

At least he knows what a woman is.

Igotjelly · 06/07/2022 21:44

We’re at 42.

I’m not a Theresa May fan particularly but what a statesman like, professional speech her resignation statement now looks like.

I missed the statement. Is that the only reason they have given?

DowningStreetParty · 06/07/2022 21:45

I would love to know exactly what he said to Gove about why he was sacking him.
BBC reporting no 10 referring to Johnson as a ‘snake’
Tory party is eating itself

54isanopendoor · 06/07/2022 21:46

@CanaryShoulderedThorn Yes. Mrs May looks like a Collosus compared to this bunch. I saw her at PMQ's clip earlier. She looked very downcast at what was happening to her Party. I think she was well meaning (as much as any Tory can be, as she & her husband were coining it of course.. & her 'hostile environment' was awful) but she actually seems 'not too bad' compared to BJ & his Cabinet of mediocrities.

The Pound is falling rapidly too...

the80sweregreat · 06/07/2022 21:46

I'd do any job for there for half the price.
They are all snakes , this isn't news really.

All day long the media have had Boris Johnson written off , but like the end of the horror movie your friends made you watch for the 'jump value , ' back he comes time and again and will end up with his arm hanging out the concrete outside number 10 with a tiny speck of expensive wallpaper in his grubby little hand.
He will never leave

'Let's pop down to the Winchester for a pint and wait until it all blows over'

(Shaun of the Dead)

James Duddridge Johnson pps interview just now on Sky, the 14 million mandate AGAIN unchallenged. It's not a presidential system we have here. Jon Craig mentioned the support of the party but he needed to string the 2 concepts together. Because, to my mind, they're unanswerable questions

Yes, she's for giving him blow jobs on the office sofa and for proving his potency, attractiveness and masculinity with more babies who turn into children he embarrasses and doesn't see.

You can't expect Boris and his staff to understand the electoral system, they don't even know what a party is.

Misunderestimated · 06/07/2022 21:49

What if Zahawi takes 10p off the price of fuel?
What if Barclay pays for appointments on Saturdays?

Gove is quite a loss because he was making serious inroads into getting developers to pay to remove dangerous cladding from flats.

The playing fields of Eton have been responsible for other surprise victories.

tobee · 06/07/2022 21:49

Horror films are too scary for me. I even had nightmares after watching Shaun of the Dead. 😱😬😄

The question really only remains which of those woman were mistakes and which were the big decisions he got right?
