Can you imagine what it's going to be like if this goes on until the 1922 have a go at removing him next week?! I will do no work!! By the amount of Twitter watchers, neither will anybody else!

Igotjelly · 06/07/2022 21:58

Consensus on The Context is that the country is heading for a significant constitutional crisis. Can’t think of a worse moment for it.

tobee · 06/07/2022 21:59

Wondering if James Duddridge got a snifter of sone of what Johnson been having? He seemed for buoyant too.

The DM have already got jittery, he’s looking less and less appealing as a safe bet.

The headline early this morning really suprised me, if he has lost their support then he is really on his own. Wonder if he will get his own 'Enemy of the people' headline tomorrow ?

Fucking the pound too.

Someone will do well with that !

Maybe it is a GOOD moment though (user name)

after all having a government didn't do us much good did it?

tobee · 06/07/2022 22:02

Just checked my emails. Got my YouGov Daily Chat email. Guess what it's asking about? Lolololol

AmaryIlis · 06/07/2022 22:02

"He has been spelling out to them [cabinet ministers] that 14 million people voted for him."
If the Conservative Party "want to deprive him [Johnson] doing that job, they have take to take that mandate off them", the source says.

The poor fool can't admit to himself that, even if it was a personal mandate, no-one has to take it off him, the mandate has gone away of its own accord. He managed to kill off a hefty proportion of Conservative voters through sheer incompetence, and at least 50% of the rest won't vote for any party led by him under any circumstances.

Thank you Rousette, just noticed you informed me of this new thread.

Backstabbers
Your so vain

The crowd outside number 10 sound riled.

Nicholas Watts

The sacking of Michael Gove is not going down well in the Conservative party. One former Boris Johnson ally tells me: “Sacking Gove is revenge. But Boris is now detached from reality. He is now like Putin.”

Next, BJ's going to be riding a horse Nadine Dorries through the shallows of the Thames with his shirt off.

Rinoachicken · 06/07/2022 22:05

What are the protesters shouting at Downing Street, does anyone know? I can’t make it out. They are very loud though!

the80sweregreat · 06/07/2022 22:05

Boris topless ! Give me strength..

What a mess

I fear it may have been missed that after Gove has been sacked, there is now not a single Minister left in the Department for Levelling Up - the flagship policy of the government

oh gosh watched this incredible

Cornettoninja · 06/07/2022 22:08

I’m beginning to wonder if he can’t resign. Does he owe someone? Is resigning likely to lead to losing his kneecaps or something?

Its obvious he’s made some pretty significant deals amongst his own party to get this far, I could well imagine he’s tangled up with all sorts outside government.

the80sweregreat · 06/07/2022 22:09

Boris with a horses head in his bed.
It might be a really bad ending after all

WaitroseWoman · 06/07/2022 22:10

scamander · 06/07/2022 21:54

Oh Pincher, if only you handled your drinks better.

If only.

Very unfortunately, it wasn't his drinks CP was handling.

BJ tried to blame alcohol - people not handling their alcohol - at the Liaison Committee this afternoon and was quickly and decisively shot down.

Booklover3 · 06/07/2022 22:11

I can’t find the words to describe Johnson. I worry he will still spin this into him being the underdog and call a general election… I worry people will still vote for him because of the spin or because they think it’s funny

the80sweregreat · 06/07/2022 22:13

He has a lot of support still.
People still like him

Media barons and wealthy Russians.

And who supplies the lines he draws under his mistakes?

Homegettinginvaded · 06/07/2022 22:14

Are we just watching someone having a complete mental breakdown…definitely think he needs sectioning!!

No surprises there then. You don't seriously imagine they would be giving any power to POOR people do you? 😁
