Red plane on Flightradar24 over Manchester.

Are there any fellow Flightradar geeks on here? There is a red tui plane over Manchester right now squaking. Any idea why?

According to my flight radar it’s on a residential street in knutsford, let’s hope flight radar is glitching due to being watched by 20000 people

You'd be surprised how often aircraft squark an emergency. They can be anything from medical, problem with the plane or a drunk passenger.

It's the length of time this one was looping around which was unusual, rather than the squark itself

It’s tracking has now gone awry. There’s a red plane with no call sign at the end of MAN runway, and a sort of runaway version of the original plane that appeared to be over Knutsford. Hopefully a weird blip.

If you refresh it's vanished, so I would assume it's landed ok and FR is struggling.
