Are there any fellow Flightradar geeks on here? There is a red tui plane over Manchester right now squaking. Any idea why?

I live near Gatwick and flight radar can be glitchy and has often shown planes as landed in the nearby village, so hopefully it's just that.

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 27/06/2022 13:18

and now it's completely disappeared! Is this is having landed and the pilots switched the engine off? (hoping!)

Preeeettyprettygood · 27/06/2022 13:18

I watched it fly over low over my garden, but has it landed??

Someone on Twitter claiming they've seen it land safely. Please god be true 😳 my flight radar not updating either...

Ladywiddio · 27/06/2022 13:18

It has landed safely according to someone on Twitter.

Laiste · 27/06/2022 13:18

I see the red plain at the airport now. No call sign.

theDudesmummy · 27/06/2022 13:18

Someone has tweeted that they can see it on the ground and it is fine

WhyNott · 27/06/2022 13:18

It's disappeared completely from my app, praying its had a safe landing 🤞

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 27/06/2022 13:18

Normally after a plane lands you can track it sitting on the runway. Glitchy I suppose.

etulosba · 27/06/2022 13:18

It's the length of time this one was looping around which was unusual, rather than the squark itself

Hopefully, it was circling, not looping.

Scabbyknackers · 27/06/2022 13:19

I can't see the TUI plane but theres a little private plane UAT81 showing red over Peterborough, does the red mean that's in distress too? I really hope the TUI plane has landed safely.

WhaWhaWhaaat · 27/06/2022 13:19

Phew

What an unfortunate flight to suffer from an app glitch!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/06/2022 13:19

I can still see it. It has relocated to the end of the runway. But two other aircraft have landed on that runway, and I'm sure they would abort if there was a landing emergency ahead of them.

seaduck · 27/06/2022 13:19

There's other planes coming in behind it so presume it has landed safely.

GoldenEclipse · 27/06/2022 13:19

On mine if I zoom in it shows as being stopped at the very end of the long runway.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 27/06/2022 13:20

Someone tweeted that she's at the viewing area at Manchester airport and it has landed successfully.

happywhenitssunny · 27/06/2022 13:20

I cant make out the words on the Manchester Aiport webcam

SwedishEdith · 27/06/2022 13:20

People on Twitter have seen it land safely.

I haven't flown after a missed landing at Heathrow back from the States on a cold dark November morning, apparently the runway wasn't clear and it felt like we went up vertically! I'm a nervy passenger anyway but that finished me off. I was sobbing by the time we got off and said Never again to DH.

Poor sods on board...... I'm very glad to be sat at my desk at work!

I've experienced this too - also Heathrow (from Colombo), in fog! It was flipping scary. You think you're about to touch down and then the engines start up again and off you go - we were very close to the ground.

Hope everyone on this Manchester flight is ok.

AnyFucker · 27/06/2022 13:20

Another plane just came over my garden. Assumed all is well

WeAreTheHeroes · 27/06/2022 13:20

I refreshed and can't see it, but if there's a problem it we'll have been landed at the Knutsford end of runway 2 at MAN for safety reasons.

WeAreTheHeroes · 27/06/2022 13:21

It may well

berksandbeyond · 27/06/2022 13:22

It was met by a fire engine but wasn't needed, again according to someone on Twitter who is at Manchester airport

reature · 27/06/2022 13:22

My son is having his first flying lesson today from Liverpool right now - why did I have to come across this thread today! Grin
