Are there any fellow Flightradar geeks on here? There is a red tui plane over Manchester right now squaking. Any idea why?

Coming into Manchester Airport now

Mintylizzy9 · 27/06/2022 13:12

It’s just flown over me, landing gear down.

ohidoliketobe · 27/06/2022 13:12

Come on.... come on... the relief for those passengers when they do finally land safely!

I mean only slightly, not in a worrying sort of way. Don't mean to alarm anyone. I’m just used to hearing them and that one made me look up.
will be landing now I expect.

YungDumbThrills · 27/06/2022 13:12

You'd be surprised how often aircraft squark an emergency. They can be anything from medical, problem with the plane or a drunk passenger.

Thankfully I have never experienced this - what sort of announcements do they give passengers on board? To what extent do they know of problems?

Pilots are taught to aviate, navigate then communicate in that order. So keep the plane flying, then head it towards where it needs to go and then after that - tell the passengers what's going on!

HollowTalk · 27/06/2022 13:12

How are you able to see this? I'm on the flightradar site, but I'm not familiar with it.

SwedishEdith · 27/06/2022 13:13

I've just seen it and the landing gear is down. I get quite emotional at how skilled pilots are and that their priority is keeping passengers safe.

BarbaraofSeville · 27/06/2022 13:13

Fingers crossed for a safe landing. Are all those little grey icons at the airport the fire engines?

boysmuminherts · 27/06/2022 13:13

@HollowTalk the plane is red, rather than yellow

Broadswordcalling · 27/06/2022 13:14

Someone update me.. my Flightradar24 is showing knutsford right now

Arnaquer · 27/06/2022 13:14

It looks like it's landed at MCR hope everyone is ok

Phos · 27/06/2022 13:14

Hang on where is it going now??

AnyFucker · 27/06/2022 13:14

Is it still flying, I am not on Flightradar

A very low plane just flew slowly over my back garden

According to my Flight Radar, its currently stationary 275ft above Knutsford? 🤷🏻‍♀️

HollowTalk · 27/06/2022 13:14

Do you just see it on the map? How can you see what it's doing?

Same here with a 275 alt - hopefully that is wrong! 😀

Mushroo · 27/06/2022 13:14

Mine is also showing knutsford - did it land safely?!

Tillsforthrills · 27/06/2022 13:15

Does the white line mean it’s landed? Appears to still be moving

AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair · 27/06/2022 13:15

I hope the FR is a bit inaccurate, it's going way from the airport on mine

Badger1970 · 27/06/2022 13:15

Is it down?

GoldenEclipse · 27/06/2022 13:15

Nearly 20k watching it.

WhaWhaWhaaat · 27/06/2022 13:15

What's happening. Its saying 27k k stillmoving

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 27/06/2022 13:15

I hope the GPS isn't particularly accurate, or it overshot the end of the runway.
