I feel quite sad. Like many I really enjoyed the tv programme, visited Ravenseat for a cream tea and met and chatted with them both.

Will that was predictable 🙄 the more the show went on the more confident She got, whilst the more he stayed the same 🤷🏼‍♀️ plus the twenty year age gap didn't help I expect - not a problem at 25/45, more so at 45/65....

Kind of feel a bit sorry for him though.

she moved out and was living nearby but wouldn’t come out and confirm the actual split while the series was airing

I think it has been known locally for some time. Perhaps that was behind buying the second property to renovate nearby.

I feel sorry for Clive and the children too.The success of the show (or of Amanda) broke their family.

People move on and change sometimes in different ways. Her Instagram post said they would continue to farm and parent together. It's not like one of them has move out and find somewhere else to live. I think the children's lives will continue much as before.

I read on here she was in a relationship with one of the film crew.

Sad to hear this. I didn't watch the last series, I felt it had run its course and was time for them to get on with life away from the public glare. I love Clive and Amanda and the children are just fantastic and what a fantastic way they live, but time to leave them alone now imo

They are still friends and work together, live in the two houses you see on telly. It was inevitable I would guess. If they have few hard feelings it seems churlish to be upset or angry on their behalf. They aren't broken, just changed.

Fair enough, as others said, this is just confirming rumours that have been swirling for months and months. It always seemed an odd pairing, though it obviously worked for a long time. It seems amicable enough (from what we can tell).

I am quite sad to hear it. I like and admire them and their children.

Looks like they will continue to work and parent together successfully. I certainly hope so anyway.

As PP have said, seems they've lived separately for a while so this is just confirming it.

While I do think the children have a lovely life and there are many aspects of the parenting which I admire, I can see why Social Services have been involved. I was shocked by the kids riding quad bikes and in trailers etc without helmets, that's plain neglect.

I have seen a lot of "poor Clive" comments on Facebook but he chose to get together with a very young women when he was in his mid 40s so he shouldn't be surprised when that women hits the prime of her life and doesn't want to nursemaid an old man. Them's the breaks....

I also wouldn't set too much store by their "we are still best friends and everything is rosy" shtick. They're not going to write that they are hurling pots and pans at each other, the kids are distraught and I'm shagging the cameraman in the local hotel are they?

Im sure they'll be fine though, they must've made millions.

This has been in the horizon for yonks. I think she enjoys the fame & wants to capitalise on it which is fair enough.

Yes.

I'm in complete agreement about encouraging children to spend loads of time outdoors, to learn to assess risk within a safe environment and to develop confidence and resilience. But failing to get your children to wear helmets on quad bikes is just bloody reckless. Even a good rider can hit a stone or a hidden dip and get thrown off. I think allowing the kids to climb up hay bales in the barns was something that came in for criticism too.

Very sweeping statement as I'm sure you don't actually know them. People break up for many, many reasons and it's their own private business. I've been married for 22 years and we're now separating. People can and do change with or without TV shows.

This is Clive’s second marriage, he has a couple of kids from his first marriage but we never hear about them, I’m sure he’ll be fine.
