I feel quite sad. Like many I really enjoyed the tv programme, visited Ravenseat for a cream tea and met and chatted with them both.

There's a photo of her with her affair man in the weekend papers. One of his five ex-wives has said he love bombs and then dumps a few years after the wedding. There's a dreadful picture of him with Amanda Owen and I can't imagine what she sees in him. He just cleared out while his wife was out of the house. He's aged terribly from his wedding photo too!

In many respects they have a lovely life style. But it would be far better to have that life style off camera. Many of those children were too young to consent with any understanding to the intrusion on their life

If they are "inseparable" does that mean he's pulled on his wellies and is helping out at the farm?
I remember years ago stumbling across a thread about Amanda on a farming forum and the local men said she was up to no good with other men.

I find her very odd, I liked the fist series but the recent one where it was just here was just awful.

@MsFannySqueers according to the locals, she loves male attention. She's an attractive woman strutting over the Yorkshire Dales in a mini skirt. She's also been in every newspaper, radio programme and prolifically appeared on television. I'm sure she had a queue of elderly male admirers.

@thefamilyupstairsOh that’s interesting. Yes she’s a very attractive woman makes it all the more strange to leave her marriage for a 71 year old! Anyway ‘nowt as queer as folk’ as they are fond of saying in Yorkshire.

For what it's worth I greatly admire the fact that Clive has now publicly admitted his part in the relationship breaking down and taking responsibility. Not many men would.

If my husband was having a five year affair I'd be ranting too. I think he's still very much in love with her and wants to take the bad look off her.

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor from what I read he said the blame of the split lay with him. Due to the intense media pressure he was ranting and drinking etc. He didn't mention if the five year affair contributed.

I always enjoyed watching their programme and it’s sad they’ve split up, but it appears to be relatively amicable.

I don't really get it. So Clive goes on TV to say he was drinking and ranting and was jealous of Amanda. Then everyone is saying what a great chap he is.

I know I sound awful but I think Clive is really unattractive both in looks and personality.

I feel sorry for the kids. People don't really need to know all the details of the failed marriage.
