I’m not a royalist but I love Kate for this..

I’d love to know what she threatened him with under her breath 😂

I think he went onto grandpa Charles' knee as a reprimand! He certainly looked more subdued then, and I doubt Charles is a fun grandpa as he wasn't a fun dad 😉

Louis was quite determined to get to Grandpapa on the balcony on Thursday (that's how he ended up next to the Queen), and then wandered across to Charles on Sunday. He wouldn't be so keen if Charles was stern Grandfather.

So everyone’s just going to let this disgusting bit of classism pass?

Poor kids, they must have been bored rigid, hours of sitting still. Should have spent an hour at most then been nannied off.

I agree

Logansnana · 06/06/2022 21:14

Well said xx

valerianaofficiana · 06/06/2022 21:16

@ Spencer, why thank you, nice to meet a fellow classicist. Did you read Greek or Latin 🤓

God, it puts me into a cold sweat thinking about having to try to defuse a grumpy/overstimulated 4yo in front of a massive audience!

Yeah I get embarrassed in a shop doing it

Wor · 06/06/2022 21:47

kateward11 · 05/06/2022 19:21

He’s about four isn’t he? I cannot imagine getting my son to sit through all he’s had to sit through at that age. He’d have been going completely tonto after 20 minutes

Yes I feel so sorry for him! Four year olds should be running around not sat for hours humouring weird traditions.

I mean if a kid is stuck on a long plane journey at least they get an ipad!

Kate Middleton being 'sweet'. She's been wearing a £66.5 m necklace. Be sweet if she got the queen to donate it to charity. I think it's obscene.

Unless she bought it herself it’s not really anything to do with her - it’s not hers to sell presumably. Better to wear it than keep it in a vault.

These pics are also on twitter. I think Kate was just looking forward to going home.

The second pic is a face I pulled myself and most others too. When your kids take you to the absolute limit and you're about to lose it; then at the last minute do something very sweet.

llizzie · 06/06/2022 23:13

His nanny has probably already been given her notice.

llizzie · 06/06/2022 23:23

One thing I thought was not right, that of subjecting children's ears to the loud noise from the bomber fly pass. Those children should have been given ear plugs or something to lessen the noise. Anyone else would have been reported to the NSPCC or similar. It is sad to subject children to sit still for so long, but that is their training. You cannot expect wealth and position without having to study for it. When the little Charles is king, Charlotte will have to toe the line or leave like Harry. Louie will always be a 'hanger on' waiting in the wings for such occasions as brother Charles cannot be in two places at once, like his Great Aunt Margaret had to do. I wish we could have seen more of Harry and Meghan and their children.

llizzie · 06/06/2022 23:24

CORRECTION I meant the little George is king. Sorry about that.

Don't be ridiculous. He was under the care of his parents and extended family. BBC have a picture of Mike Tindal telling him he was watching him.

Hindsight has it they probably shouldn't have asked him to sit through the whole parade but then they must have thought it was a family event and he'd be amused by the floats and stuff.

Insanelysilver · 06/06/2022 23:26

Bless her for taking him. Definitely seems like a different temperament to the others. He’s a loose canon right now.
I’d have left him with at home with Nanny to watch telly and I’d also have made sure she’d got him to bed and asleep before I got back lol !

WTF? Why? Was she supposed to use Jedi mind control on him from afar or something?

Somethingneedstochange · 07/06/2022 00:50

Grandad makes everything better. Charlotte used to be a little minx but grew out of it. Think Louis is more like uncle Harry than his dad.

Somethingneedstochange · 07/06/2022 00:53

Once the children are ready they're nanny actually gets the day off to enjoy the celebrations. As do many of the royal family staff.

12weekstoloseweight · 07/06/2022 00:56

Was the necklace really £66m?!

That’s apparently what it’s worth now. It was a wedding present to the Queen 75 years ago and nobody knows what it cost then.

Ummm - did you see how many children there were in the crowd. By your logic the NSPCC would be very busy indeed.
