I’d love to know what she threatened him with under her breath 😂

I'm going to speculate, from the language used in posts on this thread, that majority of nay-sayers, declaring him autistic, badly behaved, rude brat etc. 🙄 are firmly from WC and LMC backgrounds.

Do you remember Kate absolutely bollocking George at her sisters wedding? She took him aside outside the church.

Absolutely love Kate!

Runmybathforme · 06/06/2022 19:09

I love the way he was foisted onto Grandpa's lap.

I think he was more present than the Queen.

MrsDrudge · 06/06/2022 19:23

Most enjoyable part of the whole jubilee for me!

Lem1984 · 06/06/2022 19:24

No disrespect to the Queen but he is FOUR we normally have trouble with a wedding! He's done well. BTW Charlotte was cheeky and she is ace now!

Jeez people have extraordinary expectations of at 4YO. Cannot imagine why people are diagnosing autism because he got a bit fidgety and cheeky after sitting there for hours and hours.

This. ^ There are some horrible, judgy, nasty comments on here. The posters making them must have SUCH perfect little Angels for children - Hmm Or more likely they DON'T have them. The amount of spite and vitriol aimed at Kate and Louis on here speaks volumes about some posters.

Diagnosing autism because a 4 year old was a bit cheeky and fidgety after hours and HOURS sitting down at something he wasn't interested in is both nasty and disturbing, and speaks volumes about the person who said that.

I know first world stuff but I can't imagine the composure required to parent an understandably tired and fractious 4 year old in front of the world's press.
I think Kate has done brilliantly and am glad to see real family interactions and imperfect children being children.
Back in the day they would have either not been there or been whisked away by a nanny. Think this is better.

This is the best comment on here, a good observation and nicely put.

She is who she is, there we go. We all watched some / all of it and need to recognise that if we can watch it and comment on it then there was some interest in it, so just let them be who they are and you be who you are for the context of this thread's subject matter.

The point isn’t that Kate is an incredible mother, although I think she’s great at it, but that doing it in front of a billion people is very different from dealing with a four year old’s meltdown in Tesco, even after a long day at work doing something poorly paid. It must feel like being on a high wire sometimes. He’s totally normal, especially for a third child, in terms of confidence and bolshy-ness. Oh and my second would cover my mouth and order me around and test boundaries constantly and we had no nanny, then or ever. He just knew he could get away with murder because he was cute.

Diamondsareforever123 · 06/06/2022 19:47

Kate Middleton being 'sweet'. She's been wearing a £66.5 m necklace. Be sweet if she got the queen to donate it to charity. I think it's obscene.

Okay you do that.
Thank for the irrelevant classism information.

It probably belongs to the country, not the Queen.

JudgeJ · 06/06/2022 19:55

I thought I saw Kate suppress a smile, like she was thinking, oh no, this ones going to be on twitter.

I thought that a number of times over the weekend when the adults were having to deal with understandably bored children! In the grainy photo where she's separating Charlotte and Mia Tindall who were larking about in front of a window she was probably thinking Oh God, all the saintly mothers will be on Mumsnet about this!
All the children behaved very well generally throughout, a few seconds shouldn't be a reason for the keyboard psychologists to tear a little boy apart.

Oh goody, I await my turn to wear it then.

Diamondsareforever123 · 06/06/2022 20:02

That's exactly why I have it! Please try to justify this obscene extravagance at a time when kids are going hungry.....

I’d rather see that than the way Charles was with his parents. He was naughty but he’s a happy, well loved little boy. Not a child being brought up by a nanny who has a distant and formal relationship with his mother.

I am also not a royalist, but seeing children comfortable with the family is a pleasure.

Seeing him with Charles was lovely. The way he tried to get to him on the balcony and then sitting on his lap during the parade.

Pinkcadillac · 06/06/2022 20:21

These pics are also on twitter. I think Kate was just looking forward to going home.

I can’t imagine the pressure of knowing there are cameras pointing at you while you’re trying to deal with a hyper 4 year old! She bosses it.

There are many people who maintain that C&W do fuck all with their children and Nanny Maria is their main person. That C&W will just glide in at bedtime and bestow a benevolent kiss upon their children's brows before swanning off again and that's pretty much the sum total of their interactions. I've had, uh, discussions about this in the past.

So yes, it IS nice to see these videos etc that show how involved C&W actually are.

Gherkinslice · 06/06/2022 20:44

I think he went onto grandpa Charles' knee as a reprimand! He certainly looked more subdued then, and I doubt Charles is a fun grandpa as he wasn't a fun dad 😉
