There's so much luck involved.

Two subjects I know adequate amounts about.

Yesterday I clicked the general subject matter immediately from the shape of the sentences and got it in four.

Today I headed off in completely the wrong direction to start off with and took 106 guesses.

got the second word reasonably early and went through everything I could think of connected to that. Got the key word in the opening paragraph, but had to google as I didn’t know the umbreLla term. hopefully something I can do without googling today.

This game is a bit 'two cultures', isn't it? I'm impressed by people who aren't in technical areas persisting and working their way to the answers.

I struggled a bit with valence because I got valency early and didn’t think of valence. I don’t do much detailed chemistry, I’ve forgotten most of it!

I was about to give up, until I guessed the second word of the title. There was enough in my other guesses to allow me to get there by some judicious Googling.

I would never have got it otherwise. My accuracy is shocking, and the list of words I've guessed are mainly big fat zeroes!

I literally studied this many years ago. Just couldn't think of that word despite having the rest of the first paragraph so had a small Google at the end.
